Guest JimH
I heard from someone who golfed with her that she drinks, swears, and smokes like a sailor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who, Kuczinski? Have heard the same thing, witnessed the swearing and smoking. Sweica is a pretty serious diabetic.

Guest JimH
I heard she had plans to talk about the Sox, and the PD wanted her to talk about the Cubs. Don't have a clue if this is true. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, true on Julie S. That was the issue that brought everything to a head. There were other behind the scenes issues. From what I understand she got along great with everyone behind the scenes but had particular trouble with a program director or two. From what I understand, she is very willing to stand on her principles and walk away, which is exactly what she did.

Now, I'm not going to go out and call the guy a steroid user, but he looks awfully suspect. Let's keep our winning ways alive and I'll keep :fyou CSN+ and WCIU! Ch 21 is usually CSN+, just fyi. WilliamTell
Getting Garland to 3-0 would be awesome. I remember this offseason I said, call me crazy but I think Garland is going to win 15 games this year. I was called crazy, but getting 3 wins in April would be a nice start for that. CWSGuy406
QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Yeah, it's not a stellar collection of media talent at Comcast Sports Net. We get a kick out of watching them, the guy who did the postgame last nite, Pat ?, he's a walking talking mistake machine. Then there's William Jackson, whom my wife refers to as Crooked Head. He looks like his head is placed on his left shoulder vs. his neck. Mitch Robinson is ok and so is Karrie Sayers, even though she's got that little piggie nose thing going. Gail Fischer = Cub loving dolt. Some of the people they used to have on Fox Sports Net, maybe they weren't the greatest but they tried hard and had personalities and were likeable people ... i.e. Damon Andrews, Megan Mawicke. They went on to bigger and better things, which is good for them but I liked them. Ditto Jill Carlson and I also thought Julie Sweica was good although she needed a wardrobe coach at times. Oh, Pat Boyle is garbage. I don't know how many times he used the "gap" line during ST (for those who didn't see, they'd show highlights, and a guy from the Sox/Cubs would hit the ball into the LC/RC gap, and he'd be like, "And so and so is going shopping at the Gap, gonna buy a new shirt, some sandals, and a triple!"). And whoever that nerdy lookin' guy who was at the Sox game last night was just terrible. Ozzie answered four questions about Shingo, and then said that he'd like for the media to stop asking questions because they'd get the same answer, and the reporter asks about Shingo. :banghead And William Jackson -- his voice jumps ten notches every time someone dunks... "And Tyson Chandler says, 'you know what, i'm gonna slam this BALL". It's annoying and histerical at the same time.

Punch and Judy Garland
I don't think I-Rod was a user and I think that those who don't need to put stock in somethign more reliable than an offseason diet and Jose Canseco

Punch and Judy Garland
Catchers lose weight all the time. They fluctuate their wight more than anyone in sports besides boxers. I see nothing in Rodriguez's game that suggested steroids and I think that steroid speculators give message boards a bad name

I think the more important point is... who cares? this whole steroids thing has been way overblown. here's the lineup for tonight: Pods Iguchi Everett Konerko Dye Rowand Uribe Widger Crede Widge in for AJ, and Crede moved to the 9 spot.
