Hey greasy if you are reading this, what do you think of Trai Essex? I saw he was from your area and thought I would ask, he's from NW so Danman or others could probably help me out also.

A bit late, but as greasy said he played OLine during his career at NU. He was a pretty mobile guy. NU pulls their lineman a lot with their unique running offense. He is a strong lineman who I think has potential to be a starter in this league. I think it's a solid pick, though, I'm surprised he went as high as he did.

Am I going crazy or has Brandon Browner of Oregon State not been drafted yet? This guy is like 6'4" and he's a corner...I guess the knock on his speed really hurt him. Or maybe I just couldn't find him in the draft logs. :P

Nope, still undrafted. Kind of strange that he and Shazor may both slip out of the draft completely.

No Jason white, no one wants him? ok he had some struggles in the big game but he got a good arm and would be a fine 7th round draft pick, and what about Timmy Chang, no love for the NCAA Division I-A passing and total-offense record holder, common great 7th round pick!

Timmy Chang sucks. The guy didn't even get all the snaps for Hawaii.

Jason White has bum knees and played in a spread offense with all american talent around him.. Theres no real shock he wasnt drafted either..

Chang also didnt grade out to be a good pro prospect.. Hawaii threw the ball a lot as well..

allright all good points but your telling me that neither of them are better then castle? who didnt start a game! and has thrown only 30 passes in his college career?

Do you mean Matt Cassel from USC?

He was stuck behind Palmer and Leinart... You never know, he may have the tools to be a solid 2/3 QB

ok you never know but i rather go with the numbers then expectations

NFL Scouts know players who just looked good in college because of numbers... Yes Timmy Chang set the all time passing yards mark... but what you might not know is that im pretty sure he is the all time leader in interceptions thrown in college history.. IIRC

Matt Cassel on the other hand may have the tools to be an NFL QB, just was logged behind a ton of talent at USC

Thats why you draft someone like that, development.. He doesnt have any pressure on him, just needs to sit back and see if he can be an NFL back up someday

What team picked castle?  When was the last heisman not to get drafted??? In like 1942 there is a reason why players win the heisman. By the way the Cardinals just picked up Timmy Chang. 1 down 1 to go!

I already explained to you why he didnt get picked... He will never be anything in the NFL, simple as that

Good god, do I really see someone trying to defend Timmy Chang and say he might be a good NFL player?  The guy sucks ass, plain and simple.

yeah his race a qb this equals no shot at being a nfl qb and success

I think it was '94 not sure about that though but the guy was Charlie Ward.

Thats just cuz he chose basketball instead...

White is trash, there is a reason he had 3 of his WR's drafted before the 5th round... 2 in the first two rounds..

Bears draft Airese Currie.  If I recall he's a really fast reciever.  I've heard his name before.

Reason Currie was drafted where he was, was 2 things.

#1- Currie's size is a liability more than an asset. He has top notch speed no doubt, was a track star at Clemson.

#2- Hands of Stone. I saw Currie drop many passes during his Clemson career. If not, with his speed he'da been a solid top 3 round WR
