elrockinMT
BBTN gets paid for loud, louder and the loudest comments. Keep in mind that the highlights of every game you watch on BBTN that shows the player with the best catch or hit, automatically that player becomes the next superstar. It doesn't matter which commentator it is either.
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) He had a career .258 average. Impeccable qualifications for an ESPN analyst. One really has nothing to do with the other. I mean all of us here at Soxtalk know what we're talking about and we've never played any pro ball. mrzo2733
This just proves how stupid they are. They really, honestly, do not know what they are talking about.
NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) BBTN gets paid for loud, louder and the loudest comments. It doesn't matter which commentator it is either. Not true at all. They get paid to suck Yankee, Red Sox and Flubbie dick night and night out cause that's where they percieve their main viewer base as coming from. TLAK
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) But they arent ESPN analyists. Oh? They work for ESPN1000 and sometimes get pretty anal.
Texsox
QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) One really has nothing to do with the other. I mean all of us here at Soxtalk know what we're talking about and we've never played any pro ball. Good Commentators all like the Sox Evil ones do not 30 teams in MLB, each team should, in theory, be the top story once a month.
YASNY
QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Kruk is an idiot! What makes this tub O' Goo a knowledgable source?!? Harold Reynolds, by comparison.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Harold Reynolds? What makes this guy qualified to discuss baseball? What did he ever win or accomplish? He made the final out at old Comiskey, and for that I will always be grateful. A White Sox winner for the ages. Besides that, he sucks. RibbieRubarb
I do not understand ESPN's philosophy on hiring commentators or experts for their desk shows. On their football shows, they have All-Pros, MVPs, and Superbowl Winners. On their Baseball shows they have Harold Reynolds, Steve Phillips, John Kruk (granted he was an all-star and played in one WS) It seems a bit off...
