Mike Williams does not fit the Bears' needs. JJ Arrington does not fit the Bears offensive system. Elton Brown? WHY?!?! Dante Nicholson?!?!? WHY?!?! Timmy Chang is not very good at all and Orton is MUCH BETTER!!!!! Why sign a OLB when there are guys available to sign right now who are much better suited to start for us? Warrick Holdman and Chad Brown are both available if the Bears need a LB. I would have shot myself if this was our draft.

You should be shot for saying that. How can you say Williams didnt fit their needs? Did we need a WR? Uuum, yes. JJ Arrington? Uuum, yes. How does he not fit the system? Elton Brown is a big-time blocker. Have you even seen this guy play? Didn't think so. How is Chang garbage???? The coach didnt throw the f***ing ball for him did he???? What the f*** are you talking about. This "it's the system, not the player" bulls*** is pissing me off. Ok, Hawaii can insert a 12 year old girl and she will be a great because of the system??? My ass. You think the Broncos have great Rb;s b/c of their "system".....bulls***. If they put me in to run, that attomatically means I will get 1000 yards right? Sure, why not! Why NOT draft Dante Nicholson....he's better than Chris f***ing Harris and comes from a winning, successful organization! Once again....why NOT draft an OLB. I dont hear you complaining about Rodriques motherfuciking Wilson! He's a f***ing pothead criminal! Holdman = overrated, even when with the Bears. Brown = getting old.

Umm calm down.

Timmy Chang isn't good.

He had a semi valid point on Williams as his style is smiliar to Moose.

Also Benson is a better fit that Arrington because he is a power back and that's what we run.

Angelo obviously wanted fast WRs

Ya...I probably, no, I did, go out of line. I apologize but I was really caught in the moment. I just didn;t like how he responded to my OPINION with his badgering of my OPINION. Then again, my OPINION is different from his.

Later on....now that I read my post, I did get waaaaaay outa line. Didn;t realize I cussed so much.

First, we were not arguing about later than 2nd, but after the first.

I would say there is just as much success rate in a QB taken after then 1st round.

yes, and the QBs I stated all along in this draft have been whom? Frye, Orton, McPherson? I also stated that I would have rather had Campbell than Rodgers. I mean if they HAD to take a QB with that pick and spend a ton of money on the QB position I would have much rather taken Campbell than Rodgers. However, I would have taken neither. I would have taken a defensive player such as Marlin Jackson and went after Orton or McPherson later in the draft. JMO.

Wow, someone went off the deep end. I know we don't get along SoxFan, but damn!

Your projections are only your opnions as are mine.

1st Williams does not fit the Bears needs. He is the exact same type of receiver Moose is. What we need is someone that can stretch the defense on the opposite side of him. Mark Bradley was drafted for that sole purpose. Bernard Berrian, if he can catch the ball, is also better suited for this than Mike Williams. He doesn't fit our team. I don't think he fits Detroits team either. JMO. I don't see him as this great WR that you see him as. He is a big dude that doesn't run routes very well or get a lot of seperation. I like that we went for a speed guy here and someone that can stretch the field. Mike WIlliams can't do that. He is not Randy Moss.

2nd JJ Arrington is a smaller speed back. Will he be good? Yes I think so. He will be good in a system, such as Denny Green's in Arizona, that utilizies his skills. The Bears are not that team. They want a punishing grind it out type of back. I am not saying that JJ wont be good, I think he will be very good in Arizona. I think Benson will be awesome here, but I don't think he would be the best fit for Arizona. JMO.

3rd we don't need offensive line help at this moment. We addressed this need in free agency. It would be kind of silly to address this need in the draft when we don't have to.

4th Chang is horrible. That is all they do in Hawaii. It is a run and shoot offense. s***, the whole conference just likes to put up points. He is not an NFL QB. He is much better suited for the CFL or AFL. Again this is just my opinion. I have seen plenty of his games and there is nothing that I liked about him.

5th I don't care if anyone is a pot head or a has a criminal history in college as long as it doesn't hurt the team. Somtimes you get caught up in the wrong situation. I will just have to hope that Angelo did his homework and did his background checks. I don't think Rod Wilson is going to make or break this draft for the Bears anyway. I read something about him after the draft and they were unsure about where they were planning on using him. He played so many positions in college. He could play LB or safety. He seems to be someone they would like to develop, but are just counting on him to contribute to special teams.

6th Chris Harris was taken a round after Donte Nicholson. You won't know if he is better than Harris. If you think he is then I will take your word on it, but I don't think this is something the Bears really have to worry about. If Chris Harris helps out on special teams then I think that would be great. He could be someone they would like to see and possibly develop. I don't think taking a chance on a 6th rounder is that bad.

Holdman and Brown may be old and over rated but they are proven and most likely better than either Rod Wilson or Donte Nicholson. We will have to see how it all pans out.

Take care of yourself. Watch your blood pressure.

What the hell? Where did this come from? I have no problems with anyone here. Except Ss2k5, of course. I know probably rubbed off on you badly but honestly, I have no problems to dislake you for....I guess lol. We have different opinions on this certain topic and that's it. I can give a care about who gets what and what not..........we won't be making any decisions for the Bears anytime soon anyways. Now, if you happen to dislike me for some reason, well, there's nothing I can do about it can I?

But one thing, and the main thing, that gets me mad and got me mad at you is that you didn't back up your statements....it's just a pet-peeve of mine. All is well my friend...all is well.

Well, Kiper liked the Bears' picks quite a bit. He gave them an A-. He thinks Benson has the makings of a star RB, Bradley will add some speed and special teams, Orton was a solid pick, and Curry will contribute. Other teams he liked were Arizona, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Dallas, and Philly.

I loved Arizona's draft. I think they came away the biggest winners. Dennis Green always drafts good. I think they got the best defensive player in the draft in Rolle. In the 2nd they got the perfect fit at RB for Denny Green's system. He loves fast RBs. Really nice 3rd round pick with CB Eric Green. They drafted 2 LBs that they need desperately. SoxFan's buddy Elton Brown was a great pick for them. They needed help on the O-line and he can be a fantastic guard for them. The last pick was a WR who will probably only be on special teams and a return man if he makes the team. Overall it was a great draft.

Is it just me or does Kiper always like Baltimore's draft? It seems as though every year he has them as one of the best. I don't know if he is from there or if he is in love with Billick, but something is going on there.

I definitely agree with you on Arizona, they had a monster draft. Blackstock might be a stud, and Rolle, Arrington and Brown were great picks too. I also agree with the Ravens. Their first two picks were very good (Clayton and Cody is pretty nice), but I'm not sure about the rest of them. I'm also not so sure about Philly deserving an A. I also think that Miami and Minnesota did pretty well on their picks, they both filled some needs.

I absolutely love Miami's draft. Matt Roth in the 2nd is a great pick. Ronnie Brown is a stud and Channing Crowder is very nice as well. Nick Saban seemed to have a plan and stuck with it. Travis Daniels can be very good and Saban knows him well. They addressed team needs very well.

Baltimore had a great draft. Clayton obviously is one of the better receivers, and Cody was a steal in the 2nd round. Terry and Brown were both highly ranked lineman, a big area of need for Baltimore (youth and depth on the o-line). Derek Anderson fell pretty far, he's a good developmental qb. I don't know about the 5th and 7th rounders, but still, that's a very nice class.

It's not just Kiper -- the Ravens have a reputation for drafting well. Look at their 1st round picks. All are still in the league, about half are stars, and there's only one bust (Travis Taylor -- which gives you some pause considering that they took a receiver this year, but we'll see).

I'm definitely not knocking their draft history, they got some monster picks, and not just on defense. It's pretty sick when you think about it, getting guys like Lewis, Reed, Suggs, McAllister, Lewis, Ogden, Heap, even Boller looks half decent at times. I would not be surprised at all if Cody or Clayton become excellent players. I know they needed linemen, just not 100% sold on their picks at those positions. In the end though, I guess it will matter what these guys develop into, not what people think a couple of days after the draft.

You damn right... Miami had their best draft in YEARS and its all because pornstache is gone!!!

Ronnie Brown is going to be a very good NFL back... He has size (6' 233) and is a very unselfish player.. He can catch, he has speed (4.43) and he can run people over between the tackles.. I cant wait to see #23 suited up for my Phins next season!!

I love the Matt Roth pick.. especially after reading all the articles about him.. They had to sit him out in practice on occasions because they said he only knows one motor, and that is to go all out at all times.. One time at practice him and Robert Gallery got into a fight and he ripped his face mask off of his helmet!! They also say, not sure if its true or not, he challenged and cleared a bar in a fight.. With Miami having 30+ players on the DLine the pick up of Roth was a huge one IMO, Roth is some much needed youth and intensity that our defense needs.. Not only that he can play some OLB in the Hybrid 3-4 that we plan on using this season.. Love it..

Channing Crowder, man, this was by far my favorite pick in the draft.. He has the potential to be a pro bowl LBer if his knees stay healthy, which, I believe they will.. He was cleared by several doctors and letters were sent to all NFL teams stating that his knees were fine.. Crowder is an intense and big LBer (Close to 250 lbs) Again, with the age of our LBers (Zach and Seau are almost done) This was a much needed pick, and I am gad Crowder fell all the way to us in round 3..

The last few picks we made were very good future picks.. Travis Daniels was a FS at LSU before moving to CB under Saban, I would expect him to get some work at FS with the Phins because that is a weak spot for us.. Another thing about him, he is the one who took Randall Gays (Started the SB for NE) starting spot over after Gay got hurt, Daniels stepped in and took the spot from him forcing Gay to be the Nickle Back.. Anthony Alabi is a big LT that is very strong (500 lb BP and 800 lb squat) Hudson Houck scouted him himself so I am sure that Houck was the one who helped advise that pick so he can work with him and hopefully he can contribute in the future.. And our last pick, Kevin Vickerson.. He is a pretty big DT and that was another area where we needed some help.. He looks like with some development he could be a very good player in our rotation..

They have also added some UDFA that I really think have a chance to make the team, some of them

QB Brock Berlin(Miami)

RB Kay Jay Harris(West Virginia)

WR Josh Davis(Marshall)

TE Alex Holmes(USC)

TE Victor Sesay(Missouri)

DE George Lewis(Iowa)

DE Van Brown(Northeast Oklahoma)

DT Matt f**a(Hawaii)

DT Orrin Thompson(Duke)

LB Lionel Turner(LSU)

CB Shirdonya Mitchell(Missouri)

S Mitch Meeuwsen(Oregon State)

S Ray Ventrone(Villanova)

I really like Kay Jay Harris to make 3rd RB and then Mitch Meeuwsen who was an outstanding FS at Oregon State but fell because of his slow 40 time, the guy can play and I hope he can make the team and compete at the FS spot..

Not too thrilled with the Berlin pick up but if it doesnt work out so what no loss and if it does work out then we got a good player for nothing!

Either way, I loved the draft Miami had, and I love the moves they are making..
