Chisoxfn
QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) yeah we lost, it happens. the only think i am slightly concerned about is that this is the type of loss that can put a team in a tailspin. we need to come out tomorrow and have a strong outing by freddy (day game for him again) and get to saarloos Saaralos is the same type of pitcher that has given the Sox troubles years past. He's a soft tosser that tends to keep the ball down. He's quite hittable, but the soft tossers haven't exactly been the Sox forte lately. Hopefully they'll be able to get to Saar and Freddy will be Freddy.
Punch and Judy Garland
qwerty, what the f*** are you talking about? fathom
QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:21 AM) Biggest concern is the health of our guys. This loss is not that big of a deal guys, everything went wrong that could've gone wrong. Exactly. As much as myself and others b**** during the game, at the end of the night, it's just one out of 162 games. A much bigger concern in the health of our guys, especially Uribe. The difference between him and whoever backs him up is enormous. Also, I'm concerned about Hermanson. He's been banged up for 5 days, and still can't pitch. Jabroni
Uribe makes that error, 90% of peopel would not mention it. But because it is willie f***ing harris it is the end of the world. If you want to be pissed with dye or ozzie that is one thing, bruce froemming even. Willie did not lose us this game no matter want anyone wanst to think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dye's error was horrible as well. He should be benched after that crap. I think he bet on the A's or something.
Guest JimH
I know, that's the point I'm rying to make (obviously not very well). THE SOX NEED A BACKUP SHORTSTOP. NEITHER OZUNA OR HARRIS IS A GOOD SHORTSOP. They needed someone else for this situation, didn't have it, and lost. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ozuna is just fine as a backup SS. He played there very well in AAA and has been a backup SS before. Don't know why you say he isn't. He wasn't out there for the last couple of innings because he got whacked on the wrist. Harris is a 2B and an occasional CF, that's it. Not a SS. Ozuna made a bad judgement play at 3B with that in between hop tonite as well. Nothing went right. Wise Master Buehrle
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) It's hard to explain why Ozuna was starting to someone who doesn't understand playing a righty vs. lefty matchup. Sorry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm in the group of people who think righty lefty matchups are overrated. Pods is, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, a better player than Ozuna. I still think he should have started that game. And you don't seem to understand when enough is enough. Your comments to people when they just happen to be wrong (which by the way happens to EVERYONE, including the almighty one, YOU, Jabroni) are f***ing unnacceptable. And now you're getting the after effects of it. You've gotten away with it long enough, now you're starting to piss people off.

But, to blame the game on Harris because he booted it is really stupid. We all saw a s***ty effort out of just about everyone not named Aaron Rowand tonight... Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Did you watch the Royals game that El Duque pitched? Just curious. ITs one f***ing game. How about we blame Konerko for striking out with runners on (afterall he's done that plenty of times) or blame Rowand for making a bad throw in a game (its happened). Ya, no one makes an error. All the great players go a whole season without an error or a mistake. :headshake
Soxbadger
Pods is also hitting higher against lhp this year than rhp. Ozuna has a lot to prove, there was a play at SS up the middle that Uribe makes that Ozuna let go under his glove. Right after that they put in Harris, may have been to hurt to field. CWSGuy406
I'm mad about two specific things. 1.)Jabroni almost rubbing it mine and Jason's faces, as far as his " THE ALMIGHTY HARRIS HAS STRUCK OUT". That seems awfully pathetic to do something like that. 2.)Jabroni blaming the game on Harris. Saying "he blew tonight's game'. Damn ACT tomorrow. I'm not all over willie like some others but he did let a ball go under his glove that let the go ahead run score. THat is undeniable. I was not directing it at you, just willie haters in general. If ozuna made that error it would not be this bad, if uribe made that error four people would be talking about it. People just have this thing that they have to bash willie. Did anyone ever really expect him to be our future second baseman for the next 15 years? Is he getting paid five million dollars to blow like someone else? We have bigger problems on this team than wilie harris. More like jermaine dye and over all team health in general.
