Open letter to all media outlets

There is nothing to see on the southside. Please cease and decist all coverage of the southside ( name omitted to protect the innocent) MLB club. There is enough entertainment on the other side of town, entertainment that the whole world is waiting with baited breath to experience. The world needs to know how many pitches randy johnson threw last night. The world needs to know if curt schilling will ever wear clean socks again. The world needs to know pedro martinez is pitching against john smoltz. With all these very important issues that the public needs to know, I believe it would be in your (the media) best interests to prioritize coverage anyway. Just put the southside ballclub at the bottom of your list, the very bottom. I want to go to my favorite ballpark with no more than 20000 fans. If you (the media) start to tell the truth, I won't be able to afford a ticket to my favorite park. All the johnny-come-marriotti's will be buying up the tix, and that is the last distraction the southside club needs at this time. I want to go to my favorite ballpark and enjoy a beer or two. If you (the media) start to tell the truth, I may get caught up in some frat party drinking game with amatuers who are getting drunk for the first time. I want to go to my favorite ballpark and enjoy baseball. If you (the media) start to tell the truth, the park and club may gain credibility, and who knows the damage this could cause.

In closing, given the demands of day to day life, I believe it is up to you, the media, to ignore those pesky southsiders, and keep giving us the important stuff, like mia hamm day and if barry bonds will ever take steriods ( I mean play baseball) again. There is nothing to see on the southside. Respectively submitted sec159row2....... :D

Dear Soxtalk,

Sorry if we found out about your team.

When Peter Gammons "Googled" Red Sox, your team came up with "Sox" in the title.

Then we noticed your record and mentioned it.

It was an honest mistake.

It will never happen again.

Sincerly,

ESPN
