Guest JimH
Looks like they plan to use John Stephens in the rotation. Not a bad outing for him today, he may be a good insurance policy in case someone goes on the shelf.

DBAHO
Nice to see the Aussie get off to a good start, too bad he didn't pick up the win.
SouthSide2004
I'm assuming that Stephens is taking Stewart's spot in the rotation, which makes me think they might be putting Diaz back in the rotation once he comes of the DL. Does anyone know if Villacis is being sent down to Birmingham for good or just filling in for Pacheco's start?

Villacis is pitching for Bham tonight.
BHAMBARONS
Tennessee 5 Barons 0 (Final in 7) W-Goocher L-Villicas Goocher 7IP 2H 0R 1BB 1K Villicas 5.2IP 8H 5R 2BB 5K's Good- Only 1 K tonight Bad- No hitting what so ever it was a groundball clinic both of our 2 hits were grounders one on a infield single the other a 3 hopper through the right side by Gray. Notes- There were 6 1-2-3 innings tonight and Clint Goocher throws the game of his life in the park known as "Coors Feild East" Because of the Park being smuggled in the smokies. Cerbaho-WG
Amador with 2 more home runs tonight, something odd is going on with him.
Chisoxfn
Ya, I'm totally puzzled. Especially since he's supposed to be very fast and a pretty solid defender. Between him and Gonzo I have no idea what is going on
Capn12
Borchard 0 for 4 with 2 K's Thats the Joe I've grown to know and not love!
southsider2k5
Is Borchard going to make it past the trading deadline as a member of the White Sox? How much more patience can they possibly have with him, especially with Anderson, Sweeney, and Young making a charge towards the majors? DBAHO
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) Is Borchard going to make it past the trading deadline as a member of the White Sox? How much more patience can they possibly have with him, especially with Anderson, Sweeney, and Young making a charge towards the majors? Pittsburgh is begging for a power hitting outfielder right now. Doubt they would want Borch, but it's something KW should be looking into right now. But Borch did start last season really slow in April as well and then really picked it up in May and June, I'm sure they'll at least give him until then to turn it around. I think Joe has about used up his allotment of patience.

There may be a match there.

Ummm, we need a SS, we have 3 or 4 guys who can play 2nd.

Guest JimH
In a twist of ironies, Bobby Hill would be perfect for our needs right now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Was thinking the same thing, I don't think it will happen though (Boras connection). Yes, Hill is best suited to 2B but he plays 3B a lot in Pittsburgh and he can play SS, that was his original position and he still plays there from time to time. Good backup guy, adds speed, switch hitter. All good things.
Gene Honda Civic
http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...=g_box&did=milb Liotta with another great outing for Kanny. He and Gio are tearing up the Sally league. Though the Sally is a "pitcher's league," not quite as much as the Florida state league, but it's something to note.
