Guest JimH
They couldn't risk moving the runner to 3rd base. They were f***ed and had to face Ford. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Talking in general, I know it was bad timing, you are right.

Guest JimH
At least it went 11 innings and it taxed their bullpen, plus Lohse is on the shelf now. They lost Balfour to arthro surgery this week too. They are playing well and don't have a tough May schedule. White Sox will need to keep getting it done. No one said it'd be easy. If someone told me we'd be 2.5 games up on April 28 I would have said thank you. But yeah, KC is really, really bad. Sox need to kick their ass next week. Tony Pena doesn't seem to be quite the miracle worker he was in 2003. He just got a vote of confidence from the GM yesterday ... uh oh. Rowand44
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) If the Sox and Minny stay within 6-7 games of each other till September 1st,(which I would think by all indications will happen) then the whole month with be a toss up. September is just filled with divisional games between KC, the Tribe, Detroit and Minny. I cant see the season being over for either team by Aug. Completely agree. Both teams are way to good this year to fall out of it early this year, imo.
