ESPN Gammons Again

To Quote Peter Gammons on BBTN:

"C.C. Sabathia could have been a free agent next year, but he signed today (2 years $17.5M) because he wants to be in Cleveland when they win this thing and that's NEXT year." Where does this guy get off? Where does he get his analysis info from? It seems that every program of BBTN he has to try and one up the other loud mouths by topping their stuff with some off the wall comments.

Never once a good comment about the Sox.

When the Sox traded for Garcia last season, Gammons said they were going to win the World Series. Its good he thinks Cleveland will win next year. He is the kiss of death.

He is. He also said this year the Twins and Cubs will make it to the World Series. I'm hoping he is the kiss of death.

There is no fame or fortune in stating the obvious. You aren't an expert if you pick the Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, and Angels to make the playoffs and pick the Red Sox or Yankees to repeat. Duh. Tell us something we don't know. Then when they do, they are idiots.

Gammons forgot more about baseball then we will ever know.. Puhlease... He must have forgot everything he knew about baseball then. The problem with these writers/analysts in my humble opinion is they read someone elses stuff and it becomes gospel and they have to start spouting off so as to impress their colleagues with their knowledge. It's a bit comical to watch ESPN BBTN when they start trying to one-up their partners.
