I'm sorry, but Harris starting at SS tonight is bulls***. To play at least two MLB games with guys who have never played there before it absolutely inexcusable. I know KW would rather starve his own kids, but it's time we release Timo and call up another middle infielder. With Harris being able to play in the outfield (poorly, but still much better than he plays SS), there's no use for Timo.

The real problem here is that Ozuna is also hurt. I imagine the Sox expected he'd back up Uribe at shortstop.

So what would your remedy be? We have no other major league ready calibur SSs on the 40 man roster, so in order to get someone else up here, we would have to expose one of our current roster members to waivers, just to get a guy up for for what will most likely only be a game or two at most. Is it worth risking a prospect for one or two games? The only other guy we have is Pedro Lopez who is just turned 21, and has never seen a major league pitch. He is also a guy who looked overmatched and extremely raw just a month ago in Arizona.

It is easy to say KW should do something, but it isn't as easy as it sounds.

I said exactly what should be done.....release Timo! We have absolutely no need for him on the team. If we end up needing a RF to take over for Dye, then call up Anderson or Borchard. There are some middle infielders that can be claimed, including guys like R. Gutierrez. No one is particularly good, but much better than making Crede or Harris play SS.

It's not worth releasing Timo for an injury that may only last one or two games.

Well, if Uribe sounds like he's going on the DL, and Ozuna's hand is swollen, it's going to be a while before either of them are close to 100 pct. I highly doubt anyone would claim Timo, so we could get him back off the waiver wires if KW and Ozzie can't live without him.

Uribe's not going to the DL. He says he's fine, and wanted to play tonight. Schnieder is just being cautious.

That's not what someone in this very thread just reported was said on the radio. They said Uribe was DL bound if he wasn't feeling better tomorrow. Trust me, I hope I'm wrong. Uribe's our most dangerous hitter.

It's amazing that all of you can judge Harris on 2 innings played at short, during which exactly ONE ball was hit his direction.

And exactly ONE ball was botched...
