Guest JimH
Comment on Timo ... it looks like he learned a lesson. That drag bunt to bring in a run was nicely done. I wish he would've done that Friday nite, we'd be looking at a sweep. Oh well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or, you could just jack a two run homer.

YASNY
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 1, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) Not if Garland continues to deal. At 78 pitches, I'm hoping Garland gets his second consecutive complete game shut out.
Guest JimH
Here is the other thing, Podsednik is not hitting great but did you ever notice, every time there's somebody on base he always gets them over? Walk, ground ball to the right place, etc. He seems to always get the job done in that respect.

He's in a bit of a hitting slump but he's still getting on base and he just made that whole inning in the 4th by himself. Like you said he's getting guys over when he has to and he's also come up with big hits for us this year. He's an impressive player.

No clue he was at 78 pitches. Let him go for the CGSO then if he cruises through this inning.

Like you said he's getting guys over when he has to and he's also come up with big hits for us this year. He's an impressive player. His approach is a lot better this year than last, where he was striking out way too much and swinging for the fences. I think we'll start to see Pods drive the ball into the outfield with more authority as the season continues. He's done a great job at drawing walks.
