nitetrain8601
I don't want to trade him if you aren't making a decent sized upgrade. Of course you're always looking to trade for better players. I'm happy with Uribe though.
Capn12
:headshake There is no point in trading Uribe...I dont understand the sudden interest in wanting to get random_shortstop_01 when we have one of the strongest arms in MLB at SS..
TLAK
QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ May 2, 2005 -> 06:06 PM) I would trade Uribe for Jimmy Rollins.. Have read that the Phillies arent to happy with him Jimmy Rollins is a hell of a ball player. All you'd have to do is teach Ozzie how to spell his name and you're set at shortstop for years to come. He's that good.
Capn12
I'll stick with Uribe thanks. He is younger than Rollins and Furcal, all 3 strike out alot yet still get on base. I'm content with Uribe at SS
qwerty
QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 2, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) I'll stick with Uribe thanks. He is younger than Rollins and Furcal, all 3 strike out alot yet still get on base. I'm content with Uribe at SS He is easily gonna be the cheapest out of them in the near future too. Trading uribe would be moronic, which is a good reason why you are not gonna see it happening any time soon.
Punch and Judy Garland
Look, people are just talking about ways to get better in the infield. If you wnat to look at Juan's splits last year from month-month and still say that you'd rather have him than Furcal or Rollins then that is fine but I don't see it. Getting rollins or uribe is gonna make us a better team defensively?
Rowand44
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 2, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Getting rollins or uribe is gonna make us a better team defensively? There aren't many shortstops in baseball that would be a defensive upgrade over Juan.
Punch and Judy Garland
Wll I am on record as saying Furcal is better defensively although I have seen much more of Rollins at the dish than in the field so I can't say with any certainty on him. I think there is a definite offensive upgrade with both
