You're being way to generous to Mariotti there, I'd say one punch knockout.

Actually I was hoping for the forearm shiver to knock him down, a few minutes of ground and pound to work him over, and then Hawk slips in the rear naked choke. A one punch knockout puts him out too quick.

f*** that. Have Carl Everett come down and slip Hawk a nightstick and then distract the ref while Hawk takes out Kotex Boy's knees with it.

I figure that Hawk and/or Ozzie will address this tomorrow.  You know that this isnt going to be left alone.

Round 3.  Big Dan McCarthy calls Hawk and Kotex boy to the middle of the ring, Are you ready, Are you ready. LETS GET IT ON!!!

You can count on Hawk to appropriately address this Mariotti problem.

Mariotti's hallmark is engendering as much conflict as possible so that he can milk any kind of story about it, and it is well known that he despises Reinsdorf, hates US Cellular and doesn't have a whole lot of love for the players on our team. It's too bad that because he has a relationship with ESPN through that s***ty show with the bells and whistles (I don't remember what it's called), he's now ESPN's go-to guy for Chicago.

This is how out of touch ESPN really is with Chicago. They have Mariotti as their "chicago" spokesman when, IMO, he is totally unqualified to fill this bill. Then they let him question White Sox upper managemetn without ever disclosing that he was a former employee of the White Sox Flagship station, and he blames his firing on the White Sox owner... that is totally unethical IMO.

I liked it better when Phil Rogers was the main Chicago guy.

it's a dick move because she's not a public figure. Say whatever you want about him but you should leave the daughter out of it.

I agree wit Punch and Judy. It's just not right.

This is what I wrote (summed up my post and added a few things) to OTL:

Speaking as someone who has lived in Chicago all my life, I can confidently say that Jay Mariotti's career hallmark has been to engender as much conflict as possible so that he can milk any kind of story about it. It is well known that he despises Jerry Reinsdorf, hates US Cellular Field and doesn't have a whole lot of love for the players on the team. Last season, he went so far as to say he felt that US Cellular was an unsafe place to take his family and would discourage anyone from going because of two isolated incidents that could have happened (and have happened) at literally every ballpark in America. It's too bad that because he has a relationship with ESPN through one of their shows, he's now ESPN's go-to guy for Chicago. In my mind, he absolutely does not speak for people in Chicago at all.

Do a little research and you'll see that everything I've written above is true. Additionally, last year, he started a war with White Sox television commentator Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and made that the entire focus of his vitriolic rants for at least two months in print and on radio. And speaking of radio, when he was hired and then fired after just several weeks from ESPN 1000 radio for low ratings, he blamed his firing on White Sox upper management and Jerry Reinsdorf (ESPN 1000 broadcasts all Sox games). Yes, Jay, low ratings are definitely a White Sox conspiracy.

Please, please, please reconsider before having him back on your fine show, especially when discussing the White Sox. I find Outside the Lines to be a great show, but put quite frankly, Jay Mariotti is one of the most unfairly biased reporters you will ever encounter in the industry.

So by taking that route we can talk s*** about your daughter/wife/mother.....

Steff,

I worked it out at a very early age that others opinions dont matter and no matter what they say it doesnt effect me or my life in one way. I could care less if people made whatever comments about me or my family. My opinions and comments are mine. If someone doesnt like them I suggest just saying he is being a dick and move on. If a member of the kotex boy family was to take this personally I would suggest that they get a grip. Its the internet after all. If this is the worst thing that they encounter on their travels I consider themselves lucky.

Duly noted.

As you've admitted, class escapes you.

Good day..

Never said I was classy.

I gather that by calling yourself a "d"... I perferred to sub "class" for "d" as I think using "d" is ignorant.

You must love Ozzie's naughty language if you are having such an issue over this.

I'm not having an issue. I don't care what you do or say... just commented on the full circle of your stance on s***ting on others when they don't have anything to do with the person who deserves the s***ting on.

I love Ozzie's language.. I just perfer to have a bit more class that to call someone a dick, or any name for that matter, for no reason.. probably should rethink that "no reason" thing right about now..

The fact that I called myself a dick was to provde a point. It was an analogy to prove a point that words on a internet board have no bearing or effect on anyone.

words on a internet board have no bearing or effect on anyone.

Why is this, because you say so? I would say it's your opinion that words on an internet message board have no bearing or effect on anyone.

If they had no effect, there wouldn't be suspensions, bannings, etc.

Perhaps at times they matter a little too much, but that is another story. This board is just another means of communication, and communication in whatever form does have an effect and bearing on people.

the internet is a public forum so it might be wise in some cases to choose your words more carefully. Not that you seem to care though

With all of the spyware//malware/porn/crap out on the net I dont worry about my silly opinions on an internet message board.
