:nono Lay off Carlos Lee guys, he is having a slow start but he will pick it up just as he did last year.. there is no need to start talk about sending him packing out of the south side, he will be just fine for us.. we need to support him insted of bad mouthing him..

and I dont understand how everyone can talk about how that Grand Slam he hit was bad.. it was good, and if every homer he hits is a crappy pitch, oh well! He is gettin it done, thats all that matters..

Give him some time and he will be fine, we need to support him, not talk about gettin rid of him

Welcome Aboard :headbang

Carlos Lee is kinda like Adrian Beltre on the Dodgers. They've shown glimpses of greatness but have been very inconsistent. Many are expecting both of them to put it all together this season.

I say stay with Carlos, I believe this may be the season. The problem is, he seems like he's swinging for the fences every at bat.

you could see his grand slam the other day was a bad thing..last night he came up with the bases loaded and acted like a busher...if darrin jackson can rip on him so can we..

ill get off carlos lee's back when he starts to play the game the right way..this season is too important for this franchise for it be all about carlos...

is no need to start talk about sending him packing out of the south side,

To be fair, Sox fans have been talking about shipping him ever since mid-2001 when he not only stunk defensively but was very erratic/mediocre at the plate.

Not me, though :)

Whatever you can go ahead and bad mouth Carlos but the fact is you cant always produce with the bases loaded... He hit a grand slam, great! Then he struck out, oh well, do u expect him to hit a grand slam every time? Hell no, so I think its only fair to get off his back..

3 HR in 3 Days, not to mention an excellent catch to end the game today

I am sure someone is going to find something to complain about like the SHOT that he hit today was a bad thing, or the catch he made was lucky..

Carlos is a good player, to let him go would be a dissapointment

So go ahead and say he sucks and that his Grand Slam was a bad thing when CLEARLY it isnt.. since that Grand Slam he has done nothing but produce!!!

i dont expect anyone to suceed evertime time..but i do expect them to take the right approach everytime....the game was still in doubt last night when carlos decided it was more important to try and hit a home run with the bases loaded instead of just trying to drive a ball somewhere...why do you think darrin jackson was so pissed off at carlos last night???....because he was thinking about himself and not the team...all carlos needed to be successful was a routine fly ball to RF..not a home run...

2 of his 3 home runs the last 3 days have meant absolutely nothing...but in the first inning thursday when the game was in doubt carlos grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and one out...last night he struck out with the bases loaded and one out in a game that was still in doubt

as hawk says..dont tell me what you hit..tell me when you hit it...

carlos has to start taking a team approach..every if it means it hurts his numbers...but in the long run i believe he will benefit numbers wise

i will not support any ballplayer that doesnt put the team first..thats why despite his great start im not on the jimenez bandwagon yet...he comes with baggage and when he goes in a slump (which he will , every player does) i want to see how he handles it..remember kenny lofton last year started the season hotter than jimenez then he went in a slump and acted like a pussy..didnt even try...jimenez has the same reputation that lofton had in cleveland

this season way too important for prima donnas..these guys have to put the team first

2 of his 3 home runs the last 3 days have meant absolutely nothing

baggs....I agreed with everything else except this.

In KC, his grand slam(regardless of where the pitch was) knocked the Royals out of it. At the time, the score was 4-2....you can get 2 runs by getting a hit, drawing a walk, and hitting a double....and just like that, you're tied up. Hell, you can manufacture two runs in two innings....no problem. Lee's granny was the nail in the coffin that killed KC. It's easier to come back from 2 down than it is 6 down....anyone can tell you that.

In yesterday's game....we were down 3-2 at the time when CLee hit his homer....his homer tied it up. The way Colon had been pitching the last couple innings....he wasn't gonna give up another run....hell, it looked like he wasn't gonna give up another hit(I'm not sure....he may have kept Cleveland hitless for the rest of the game). CLee's shot gave us new life.

Today....when you're up 9-2....a 3-run homer is as meaningless as Koch giving up a solo homer to Hafner. While you like to see it/don't like to see it....you could have done without it. We would have won anyways. That homer was meaningless....hell, anything after the first was meaningless unless you have some of those guys on your fantasy team(and I do....I got Jimenez and Lee in the same league...and in that league, I have Colon, who earned me 24 points yesterday....hell yes :headbang ).

and I dont understand how everyone can talk about how that Grand Slam he hit was bad.. it was good, and if every homer he hits is a crappy pitch, oh well! He is gettin it done, thats all that matters..

that's exactly what was wrong with the '01 and '02 teams...why they underachieved some much in both years after the season was lost and the veterans werwe traded the rookies came up and got us back to 500 and or over...

its because you cant take that approach and win...so he hit a home run on a crappy pitch..hey he was sucessful ..whatever works...well it doesnt work...'01 and '02 taught us that...you can be successful here and there but at the end of the season you are left scratching your head wondering why a team like minnesota, who on paper cant touch the sox, wins the division by 13 games...

you have to play good fundemental baseball to win in the majors...why is that so hard to understand??...when you got the bases loaded and one out as a team you should succeed in getting the lead runner home 67% of the time minumum..with no outs it should be 80% of the time..are we even close to that number??...we arnt even 50%..we are winning..but we have played 3 teams so far that could suffer 300 losses combined this year..that less than 50% number of scoring runners from 3rd with less than 2 outs will not work against oakland , new york , minnesota..the good teams..we are off to a great start....but we arnt playing good baseball yet...though the last two days have been improvements

well think what you want but the fact is we have won the past 3 games... so when Carlos lee strikes out with the bases juiced in the btm/top of the 9 when we r down by one, then I will admit its bad but until he starts costing us games I think he is doing a fine job so far this year, and he is starting to heat up

Put it this way....I'd rather be playing s***ty baseball right now than in June or August....or hell, even May for that matter. All 3 of those months are going to be hard as hell....and I'm thinking August is gonna be the toughest(we hit the west coast....ouch).

To be a good team, you have to beat the good teams. Plain and simple.

3 hr  in 3 days ............SO.................he is near the league lead in K'S............he is Rob Deer JR

I was thinking the same thing. Lee seems to have the same swing as hard as you can because you might make contact approach that Deer had. If he keeps it up he will fail a lot more than he succeeds.
