fathom
Until Cotts can get some control, he can't be used in crucial situations. The shame is that the good looking lefty, K. Wunsch, looks solid for the Dodgers so far.

AddisonStSox
Anyone else for sending Neal down to Charlotte, perhaps in hopes of streching him out. Let's get Walker up.

I said I wanted Freddy to finish off the inning but I thought Neal would get it done, woops. I just hate it when ozzie over manages.
DonkeyKongerko
We don't have a situational lefty. Cotts should never be used as one.

Ozzie isn't even using Cotts as a long man. He just used Cotts in a one batter situation there. Our best long reliever is in the minors right now (Adkins). Rowand44
Man, Neal gets a tough rap around here. He hasn't been great, far from it but he's the last guy out of our pen, the long reliever, and his era is under 4, it can be worse then that.
Rowand44
QUOTE(fathom @ May 4, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) Ozzie isn't even using Cotts as a long man. That's cause we haven't needed one yet.

DonkeyKongerko
Damn, the mound stole an outfield assist from Aaron. Sweeney still smoked that one.

fathom
The thing is, eveyone in baseball knows Gotay has problems with offspeed pitches. Thus, instead of bringing in a relatively fastball only pitcher in Cotts, why not bring in the slider specialist Vizcaino (who's better vs lefties than righties). Just a thought. AddisonStSox
If Rowand had a little more muscle into it, that runner was dead. EDIT: Sorry Aaron, it hit the mound. Nothing you can do about that. Edited May 5, 2005 by AddisonStSox
