Hideaway Lights
I think we need to move Crede up and Dye and Konerko down until they start hitting more consistently.
Chisoxrd5
I think you kind of answered your own question. Until Crede can prove that he can sustain a solid average all season there is no reason to move him up in the lineup. I like where he is, gives us some pop at the bottom and takes the pressure off of him. Let him thrive down there and hopefully he will continue to produce. Konerko is a streaky hitter and Dye looks to be showing signs of coming out of his slump.
WHarris1
Yeah move down Dye when he's hot and Crede has done dick for at least a week.

southsider2k5
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 5, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) apparently you missed the game last night. His homer DID break a sizable oh-fer streak...
WHarris1
Last 7 days: .133 average, .333 SLG, .556 SLG Last 7 days: .455 average, .818 SLG, 1.273 OPS One's Dye and one's Crede.
Hideaway Lights
Re: .455...five hits over 7 days goes a long way to blostering Dye's average when he's held out for 2 games. How many more hits does Dye have than Crede in the last 7 days? 2?
WHarris1
The point is why would you want to move down Dye when he is starting to mash the ball? By the way, in the last 7 days, Dye has 3 more hits in 2 less games. Edited May 5, 2005 by WHarris1
Hideaway Lights
I just don't like Dye, and don't think he belongs anywhere higher than 6th in the order. What about moving Konerko down?
Kalapse
QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ May 5, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) I just don't like Dye, and don't think he belongs anywhere higher than 6th in the order. What about moving Konerko down? You don't move your team leader and streaky hitter which means he can get ultra hot for 1 or 2 games and sometimes weeks and months. Just ride him out in the 4 hole. YASNY
We are 20-7. Let's shake up the line up. We suck. :headshake
Princess Dye
i dont know that i'd shake things up quite yet, also because we have it staggered L-R-L-R when we face righties.... which i'd rather leave untouched

Princess Dye
hell, if you want to motivate Konerko... if he continues struggling....... the best way might be to loan Frank a glove. i'd really like to keep Everett in the lineup but off the field. he's pretty much a DH at this point in his career. and Frank... even if he isnt hitting, he's always going to get on base for you. pitchers have a funny way of getting scared of HoFers....
