CWSGuy406
They gotta fix this s*** by homeplate. Someone is gonna get hurt. I cringed as I saw Jermaine fall oddly. How many pitches is Duque at?

Guest JimH
Sox are hitting line drives right at people. Down 3-2 going to the bottom of the 4th.

CWSGuy406
And Jim, I would have ripped into Uribe, but I'm in and out. Had some friends over, they're gone though. That said -- Hudson has some awesome range. I assume what DJ was saying was true about how he thought it was a single so he started rounding it off? Guest JimH
They need to hold 'em here. I got the feeling they'll get to Bush. And that is always an excellent goal to have, try and get to bush. Just sayin'. You know what I'm sayin'.

CWSGuy406
Neal Cotts should just warm up like he's going to start for all games in which El Duque pitches. I mean, Orlando can barely get through five, which gives Neal two-three innings right off the bat. Tandem starters. Does he try and use as many pitches as he can per batter? Seriously... Regardless of how many innings he gets through, Ozzie needs to pull him at 100 (or right around there) pitches. 109 pitches for him = not good. fathom
QUOTE(quickman @ May 7, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) our offense can make these guys look like great pitchers. This is the best our offense has looked all year, in my opinion. We've had more line drives this game than we had in about a week. 2 bonehead running plays have cost us a few runs. Guest JimH
I am getting tired of Zaun constantly hitting line drives vs. the White Sox. He is another guy who needs to get dusted off. Tired of it.
daa84
QUOTE(quickman @ May 6, 2005 -> 06:08 PM) why would anyone give Iguchi a fastball, just keep pitching him offspeed stuff. he cannot hit offspeed actually the scouting report on iguchi coming from japan was that he cant catch a good fastball since the fastballs here are harder than in Japan, and that he was a good offspeed hitter

I presume he learned from the mistake. lets hope somebody talked to him about it. you never know with ozzie, he defies logic sometime. Do you think its getting around the league that pitchers can hit our players and we won't do anything about it? It just seems every series if not every game one of our guys get hit. We do nothing. fathom
El Duque is painful to watch when he pitches right now. Every game seems the same, and it's just a matter of whether or not the opposition can get a hit with RISP.

CWSGuy406
Four pitch walk. Come on, Orlando... You can't have the dead arm quite yet. And guys, win or lose today, I'm about the happiest person right now. Today, I finished my AP Class (US-History, which, BTW, required nightly homework as well as three-four tests per week) with the AP Test today. I am so happy. For the rest of the year in that class, all we're going to do is watch movies. Hooray!

Funny how the only pitcher who's actually retaliated, or backed up our hitters, is the guy that is constantly criticized for not having a 'sack'.
