S720
I remembered during the Bears' and the Bulls' Championship years, I've always had this feelings that no matter who we played against, we would come out on top. Slowly, cautiously but growing game by game, that's the feelings that I currently have in me with this Chicago White Sox team. Do you? GO SOX! kapkomet
Baseball is a lot harder to feel that way with because it's a 162 game schedule. But, this team is one that has confidence no matter what situation it is in, and THAT is the mark of a GREAT team.
Kalapse
We were down the other night to K.C. and I just had that feeling we were gonna win. We were losing late today and I was certain that we would pull it out. I have complete confidence in this team to find a way to win games. Punch and Judy Garland
At least with familiar teams. We still need to gain that feeling by beating teams from the West and the East. I do agree that every game int he Cnetral has that feel now. Good tests coming up.
Be Good
Well im not a Bears or Bulls fans, but i've been expecting us to win every game since 10 days ago.
Chisoxfn
Its funny...I've had the feeling the SOx were going to blow it today and I never though they'd come back a couple days ago when Everett hit the 2 run double. But I'll take it...and usually I'm an optimist. Of course I only started saying they would blow it when Shingo walked two.
Reddy
im in the optimist camp on this one. i've just been feeling good about this team lately.
Soxy
I am guardedly optimistic. But, as my Twins friend always points out: the Sox have come out of the gate strongly the past two years--but haven't been able to finish the deal. I hope they go deep into the playoffs, but I'll take it one game at a time....
Punch and Judy Garland
We were awful at the bginning of 03 until June but everyone says we always start hot and fade. It's just not remotely true. Now have we blown small leads in August and September? Well......

Okay, I guess the only thing I remember from that season is the crash and burn ending. But my point is the same--the last two seasons the Sox have lost the division as much as the Twins have won it. sox-r-us
The only feeling I have right now is that we will be in the playoffs. But I am very scared of bowing out again before the series after the 2000 experience. When it gets warm, will our pitching hold up? I know it will get cold again come playoff time which can only help. But I still think we need to really make one big upgrade at the AS break to really win it all. I would not touch the pitching (just add Count to the Bullpen come playoff time since we only need 4 pitchers anyways). But I would add one big bat and send someone out of Rowand or Uribe or Crede to the bench. While this guy has not been doing great yet this season, and he has obviously had big time injury issues in the past, I am intrugued by the thought of maybe adding Ken Griffey Jr at the deadline if he starts playing like his old self. A LH bat with power and fielding ability like his can be huge in the playoffs. That way Rowand goes to the bench and can play late in games as a RH bat off the bench too. Carl and Dye can split the RF position as and when required and Frank plays DH. This would help in NL parks too durign a Series with Ken's bat. I know people will say Griffey sucks now, but I think if he came to the right situation like ours and in our ball park, he could produce big time. Obviously Cincy pays some of the salary. I think JR will be willing to open up the check book this all star break if Kenny can convince him he is the missing piece. The more I think about it, the more I love the idea of Griffey at the deadline. I know too early...chances he will be on the DL by the time AS break rolls around, but if he can stay healthy, that would be one huge stick in our line up. Again, the key is Cincy has to pay a chunk of his salary to get him off their book. Right now Griffey is only batting at 0.250 and has 2 HRs and 10 RBIs, but I think he should pick it up once the weather gets warmer. This line up would be awesome for the playoffs IMHO Pods LF Guch 2B Frank DH Griffey CF Kong 1B Carl/Dye RF (depending on match ups etc) Uribe SS AJ Pierz C Crede 3B Let me go change my shorts now Edited May 6, 2005 by sox-r-us
rangercal
I would like to deal crede/prospect for eric chavez at the as break. oakland dealt away half their team as it is. half his salary would be off the books if it's done in july. I did hear we have a few million to spend if need be.
