KW on the Score this morning

He was on their baseball show with George Offman from 9:00 to 9:30. I missed the first half, but I did hear Offman, noted Cub-jerk, say to KW "Kenny I get the sense that you know it's still early. Sure your club is 23 and 7, and you wouldn't want to trade places with Kansas City-" and Kenny interrupted, saying "With anyone!"

Later Offman said "I want to ask you a question about your manager Ozzie Guillen and his mouth." Offman didn't actually ask any question, and after a few seconds of silence KW said "What about him?" Then he defended Ozzie, saying the media didn't report the circumstances of the Magglio rant, that Ozzie just responded to what reporters had brought to him.

KW said he already has scouts looking at other clubs so that he's ready if he has to acquire anyone, he's satisfied with his infield depth as it is, the 3 injuries in the Oakland series made it look like the Sox were thinner than they actually are. He also said he's going to be more protective of his minor league talent this year than he has been in the past, because he sees some of the top guys down there as his foundation for several years to come.

Jesse Rogers said the Sox should promote a contest where a fan could hang out at the bar with Ozzie. KW wasn't real keen on that idea.

Good for KW. He's always responded well when dip s***s throw some garbage rants in his face. On a side note, I would like to sit and have a couple with Ozzie, lol. For PR purposes, I can understand why KW didn't think it was such a hot idea.

That's what has been bothering me about the whole situation. The media has failed to mention how this whole thing started, it was Mags, not ozzie. People who don't know the whole situation like we do are only getting half the story and that's not right.
