Would you like to find where I said that when the game ws 3-2.

Thanks, and good luck.

Politte gets out of it.

I believe he is saying he thought it was over then.

Bad f***in luck cause we've hit a lot of balls hard at people.  By the way Nomo was good tonight even though his numbers coming into this game sucked.  He was popping his fastball better and his forkball was diving like it used to.

2 out walk.

86-88 mph is not exactly popping the mitt. His splitter that he was getting called for a strike was a hanger. This was not vintage Nomo. The sox hitters didnt have a good gameplan. They were looking for something to drive instead of doing the little things with men on. That is the only reason we watched our hitters take strike 3 2 times with men on second and third.

We've hit plenty of balls hard tonight and just not finding holes, it seemed that way yesterday also, not making any excuses but it's not like the offense hasn't been taking good swings tonight.

Fair enough. Agree to disagree then. I've been thinking this was the worst the offense has looked in a while. Just doesn't seem like a lot of hard hit balls, and most of the hits have been flares.

I knew someone would come thru with the Angry Politte picture!!!

It should be a rule, every time Cliff gives up a hit, someone posts that. That picture is unbelieveable.

88 for Nomo is plenty, his velocity has been so down these last 2 years that it was just getting killed. His splitty was down in the strike zone all night and had a lot of movement on it.

Nomo only reached 88 a few times. His fastball was more around 85 mph. We allowed him to get into a groove by swinging at way too many first pitches, and not putting Tampa in a big hole in the 3rd inning. Right then, you could see the momentum was going to be with the home team.
