Keys to the loss today.

The inability of our pitches to close out 0-2 counts. Instead of using a waste pitch they throw pitches that were easily put into play. Sometimes hit hard because they were too much over the plate.

The inability of our hitters to execute in situational hitting. 2nd and 3rd with one out and we have hitters taking pitches down the cock with their bats on their shoulders. Also in another inning, 3-2 and the same thing. If the pitch is close in that situation put it in play.

This is a team we should beat, I understand we played flat. Go get them tomorrow. Hopefully Jose comes out with his sick stuff.

How many times is that fat slob going to change his opinion?  He ripped on the Sox at first but now he likes them?

Because no one here ever changes their opinions on players or teams. No one here thought the Bulls were terrible when they were 0-9 and then changed their tune when the Bulls started to win. Give it a rest, the Sox hadn't proven anything the last few years to make people outside this fan base believe that they were going to actually contend this year. While I liked the moves Williams made, this team was quite unproven to begin the year and nobody really knew what to expect. Opinions can change, there isn't anything wrong with that.

THAT WAS f***ING BALL 4 FROM THE MOMENT IT LEFT HIS HAND YOU DOPE!!

Oh well,  cant win em all.

Yes it was a terrible pitch and you had to like our chances for another come from behind win if Uribe takes the walk. We were at the game. The Sox were just flat. Freddy seemed to get squeezed at times, and his frustration would show, but in fairness he was not sharp or consistent in any way. I was happy to see that Crede has changed his swing somewhat, occasionally reverting back to his long, slow, loopy swing, but on most pitches he looked sharper and quicker. In the at bat he was called out on strikes, he really took it hard and came close to getting rung up. We were going to stay for Tuesday's game, but didn't. Good thing. It would have made the ride home a real drag. Tampa-St. Pete is a great area, but what a lousy place to see a ball game. FWIW there were a lot of Sox fans in attendance.
