T R U
Bears | McQuarters on the way Out? - from www.KFFL.com Tue, 10 May 2005 05:53:23 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears continue to look for ways to trade CB R.W. McQuarters. One league source said the asking price is so low, it's a foregone conclusion McQuarters will not be with the team when training camp opens in 10 weeks. One coach said Monday, May 9 the Bears are seeking only a seventh-round pick in exchange for McQuarters. The coach, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said McQuarters will most likely be released if a trade can't be worked out.
Kalapse
R dub is useless for the Bears. We kept him around for punt return purposes and that is no longer necessary now that we have drafted a punt returner in Bradley.

CWSGuy406
R-Dub is just about done as a starting corner. I think he'll be a nice dime/nickel back, but not at his current pricetag.
Controlled Chaos
Later R-Dub....you had one good year and dogged it after your contract.... Good Riddance Vasher, Peanut, Azumah will be fine. I love the switch with Green and Brown too.
doUrememberwhen
Oh well woulda liked to sign him cheap as a dime back and b/u safety but i guess he thinks he'll get money elsewhere. Maybe Minnesota, they seem willing to overpay for one year wonders. Hmmhmm Fred smoot

Hmmhmm Fred smoot You don't think Fred Smoot was worth the money he got compared to the deals other CB's signed this off-season and last off-season? What about the likes of Jason Webster? Minny sure have a nice CB tamden in Smoot and Winfield now though.
