Gene Honda Civic
Baldwin with the win. McCarthy gives up 2 HRs. Surprise.
Palehosefan
McCarthy 5 IP 8 hits, 5 ER, 3 BB, 7 K's. Thats the worst line I've seen from Brandon. I'm sure he will bounce back. But his era is shockingly over 4 now. Bajenaru another scoreless inning with a K. Brian Anderon 2-4, ho-hum :-).

Left 2 guys on base in the 6th who both scored after he left the game. Both HR's were solo shots. Game was at Charlotte, remember.
Palehosefan
Yeah I'm not worried about him at all. Crap happens, I'm mainly suprised with the 3 walks in 5 innings for him. Thats pretty unheard of from him.
Randar68
Birmingham won 7-4. Sweeney, Rogo, Fields, and Young all had 2 hits, with Chris Young belting his 6th HR of the year. Sweeney had a double and Rogo a triple. Haggerty also HR'd. Is Jerry Owens hurt? Haven't seen him listed in a few games now... http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...msbaax_biraax_1 Winston-salem won 6-5 pounding out 15 hits. Valido went 4-5 with a double and an RBI, back up over .300 to .313. Collaro and Molina homered. Whisler with a shaky bullpen outing. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...wswafx_salafx_1
BHAMBARONS
Barons 7 Mississippi 4 W- Reynoso (1-1) L- Basner (0-3) Barons Mash Braves Chris Young Launched a towering Homerun tonight and now has a 14 game streak Chris also drilled a Fastball up the middle for an RBI single. Cory Haggerty also launched a shot off the score board in right. Josh Feilds had a 2 hit game with an RBI Double. Sweeney had a 2-3 for night with a walk and had a Homerun taken away by the first base umpire who called sweeney's blast foul which Razor and I though it was fair and replays back up our position. Heath Phillips was outstanding I talked with Heath and he was glad to be in Bham. Heath knew he would be overmatched in Charlotte he was glad for the Sox's to show that much trust in him and he today threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings tonight. Reynoso gets the win by Fanning Jeff Francour with the bases loaded in a tie game 7th inning. Darren Blakely made the catch of the year in the 8th a fully extended catch in Foul Territory. Bobby Jenks picks up save 8 today. Staff ace Sean Tracey will be on the hill tomorrow. Edited May 11, 2005 by BHAMBARONS

Gene Honda Civic
QUOTE(Randar68 @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) Left 2 guys on base in the 6th who both scored after he left the game. Both HR's were solo shots. Game was at Charlotte, remember. Actually none scored. In the sixth, he gave up a HR, then a double, then a WP, then a 2 singles. The runners were stranded. DBAHO
Chris Young starting in B-Ham was certainly the right move after all. Him and Owens have been the pleasent suprises this season so far.
Randar68
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 10, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) Chris Young starting in B-Ham was certainly the right move after all. Him and Owens have been the pleasent suprises this season so far. Yep, they really must have impressed in camp, especially Young. Owens looked good in the spring games I saw, so it wasn't as shocking to see him start there as opposed to Young.

Charlotte should be much better next year and hopefully some of these guys can produce up here in Chicago in a couple years or so...the future is looking pretty good.
