AngelasDaddy0427
I love how your all complaining about Shingo when this loss has to be put square on the shoulders of Viz... He choked... He didn't have it. However we still would of won had Ozzie just had the brain cells to realize he didn't have it and came and got him. Let he refused to and choked away the win. Viz is more to blame here then anyone.
DBAHO
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) Luis Vizcaino.... I knew it was one or the other. Vizcaino's gotta pick it up no doubt, he's been pretty immune from criticism so far (although there was the Cleveland outing).

Jabroni
Anyone who thought trying to acquire Billy Wagner at the deadline was a stupid idea must be in hiding now. Shingo isn't good, Vizcaino isn't that good, and Cotts is also shaky. We need a DOMINANT closer to push the rest of our relievers back an inning. Marte and Hermanson setting the table for Wagner with Politte in the 6th or 7th sounds alot better to me. Vizcaino and Shingo can take care of mop-up duties or a few batters here and there. I still say the time to test hermanson is now.... If he proves other wise, trade for a closer. I have a good feeling dustin can come through. Jabroni
Guys, the problem isn't Hermanson. The problem is Shingo and Vizcaino. Adding Billy Wagner would just bump down Hermanson into setup. We would also have Politte and Marte who can be trusted with the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings. That way, Ozzie wouldn't have to use Shingo and Vizcaino as much in critical situations. He could just use them on 1 or 2 batters and use their strengths -- Shingo vs. a righty or two and Vizcaino vs. a lefty or two. If he can close out games fine or not we need another reliever brought in. Both vizcaino and shingo are very not good thus far. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreed. Closer is not the problem as much as bullpen depth is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You guys get my point. Edited May 11, 2005 by Jabroni
Punch and Judy Garland
How can you say no to Billy Wagner? I am sadly officially off the SHingo bandwagon. It was a fun run

There's a reason Minnesota rarely loses close games -- it's called the best bullpen in baseball, anchored by Joe Nathan.
