Some sharp-edged ad-man at the Gillette company came up with the idea of flogging a date with Electra, 33 by the way, to any male between 15 and 20 who can raise the readies. Last we heard, bidding was about to top $22,000. It's some sort of Gillette promotional spin-off from the Electra-fying launch a while back of their latest manual razor that needs batteries, and we didn't understand that concept either. The winning bidder gets an all-exes paid trip to LA and dinner with Electra at one of Hollywood's hottest restaurants, and "nothing more", they're quick to add. Oh, and the money goes to charity.
