fathom
Garcia has yet to prove anything to me this season. He's pitching like absolute s*** tonight. He's lost like 3 mph on his fastball, and has no bite on his curve.
fathom
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 15, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) Freddy sucks donkey balls today. Tie f***ing game. Freddy's looked pretty bad all season. He's been saved by some great pitching conditions, which probably lowered his ERA by about 1 full run.
Melissa1334
3 homers in a row? whats happening? freddy.. when your team gives you the lead ur so supposed to keep it!
BuehrleTheAce
It's all my fault. My pitchers seem to wax and wane as a group and for the past week all my pitchers have stunk (except for Kenny Rogers). I've got 4 pitchers going today/tonight - Chacin lasted a whole 2.1 innings due to rain, Freddy and Kenny now, and Wade Miller later. So if you want to blame anyone, blame me. NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ May 14, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) 3 homers in a row? whats happening? freddy.. when your team gives you the lead ur so supposed to keep it! It wasn't 3 homers in a row. They started getting regular base hits after that.
fathom
Since when did Garcia throw 88 mph fastballs? I'm fairly certain that he was throwing 94-95 mph last year when we got him.
fathom
Good job by Garcia thought retiring Mora and Tejada. Sox need to keep being tough outs in this game like they've been doing.
CWSGuy406
Freddy seems to get lacksadaisical(sp?) when he gets a big lead. He's got the stuff and the command to shut the opposition down, he just gets 'lazy' (for lack of a better word).

He's got the stuff and the command to shut the opposition down, he just gets 'lazy' (for lack of a better word). You were close: lackadaisical I'd have to agree. Perhaps he gets too overconfident that he doesn't have to be so precise. Remember, when we got him from Seattle he had to be near-perfect for the Mariners to even have a slight chance to win. Now that he's on a great team he may get sloppy on the mound.
qwerty
Garcia throwing these 89 and 90 mile fast balls is really pissing me off.

NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(qwerty @ May 14, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) Nice job podsednik. He totally owns Baltimore. Too bad he was off on contact or we'd have been good.
WilliamTell
3 guys out between 3rd and home, I love the aggresiveness but it's gotta stop somewhere. Hopefully we'll still come out on the winning side though.

Hopefully we'll still come out on the winning side though. Sending Paulie in the 1st was a bad idea. I missed the second time and Pods was off on contact or he'd have been fine. WilliamTell
QUOTE(SHAFTR @ May 14, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) 1 run scored b/c of it (Podsednik off Iguchi's double) 1 of 4 isn't a good percentage though. I like the style, it's just not working tonight. But those days happen.

Freddy's problem has always been occasionally hanging one. Can't always get the slow stuff to move like you want it. That's BJ and Gibbons, Roberts just handled the pitch real well, imo.
