I don't care what our record says, we're not a good team right now. Our starting pitching has been less than stellar over last 10 games, and our bullpen has been brutal (besides Cliff and Herm). We have way, way, way too many easy outs in our lineup right now. PK and Everett continue to have terrible ABs with RISP.

How long are we going to say that?  Until we are 27-20?

15 games over .500 is 15 games over .500.

We have to take the next two games. We're 3-5 in our last 8, that is not acceptable.

Cruddy is awful.  He is now 1 for 17 in this homestand.  He is now batting .262.  I just wanted to remind the Crede-supporters.

A cold streak after a hot streak...in baseball? That must be the first one EVER!!

Give it a break. There are a couple guys that have the right approach at the plate right now, thats it. You could single just about anyone out of this lineup and say they aren't doing their job, so enough of the "I hate (Harris/Crede/Dye/Konerko) so I'm gonna point it out to everyone" bulls*** already.

No kidding. We're 4.5 games in front of the Twins, who look to have just as strong of a team as they did last year with their great bullpen and the emergence of Morneau and Mauer. Is our current team good enough to outlast the Twins.....NO. We need to either get better performances from our hitters, or we need to make some changes. No way our pitching can keep up the pace they had for the first 30 games.

Cruddy is going to be back down to .240 in a week. Book it.

Here's the thing about the pitching -- we KNEW we'd get this out of Hernandez when we signed him. That's why we got him cheap. I still think it was a good signing, don't get me wrong. But he's our 4th or 5th starter, definitely 5th if durability plays into it. I think we just have to endure this.

Really, we won't know much until we work through the rotation one more time.

But Lord, the lineup... What's going on guys???

I could drop a bowling ball off a building and it wouldn't fall as fast as credepopsup's average has been. That's what.......50 points off his average in the last 3 weeks or so?

This game showed the little things during a game that we were doing earlier, but we're not now. We didn't hit into many DP earlier in the season, but now we seem to be hitting into them whenever there's RISP now. If Everett just hits a routine flyball, we scored a run during the middle innings. No shock with Ozzie leaving El Duque in about 3 batters too long, which results in Barajas RBI single.

El Duque was hanging by a thread in nearly every start he had this year. It's just a matter of time before his 6 IP, 2 ER games become 5 IP, 5 ER.

Thank you for the foresight, great one!!

As if Crede hitting .262 right now is our biggest concern...hey how about we look at the fact that our 3-4-5 hitters are COMBINED hitting .222 coming into tonights game...how can anyone be afraid of the Heart of our order? Lets focus on what the real problem is here....Crede is far from our greatest liability.

Wasn't the whole point of smallball, that it was consistent? That it doesn't take weeks off? Why is it that that's on hold?

I called that long ago and everyone jumped down my throat about it. I would say its nice to be vindicated but not when its like this.

All the hitters should watch what gooch did in his AB tonight. He fouled a bunch of pitches off and hit a pitch where it was pitched. Our big hitters right now swing at crap in the dirt or take pitches down the cock for strike 3. If they get fooled on strike 3 by a slider or a curve but a fastball down the plate. They should be able to handle that.

Much as Crede is sucking lately I totally agree that Kong Everett and Dead are absolutely killing this team.

On the bright side though AROW is starting to heat up.

This was a tough one to accept. We must be in that little slump right now, and the stellar starting pitching has not been there. They have surrendered 9, 6 and 7 runs respectively, but tonights performance by El Dookie must be the worse. He couldn't even get out of the 3rd. The relief pitching was a plus until Marte gave up another homer. It makes you wonder who will have the most homers at the end of the season? Our hitters or the pitchers? We need to get some of these hitters out of their slumps and I don't know what to make of it. Konerko back in 2003 form; Crede sucks; Everett stinks; Dye is dead. No consistency except being bad. Anyway that's the obvious and hopefully these guys get on track soon. Garland might be our stopper by ending this 3 game skid tomorrow. I saw this game on ESPN and it was exciting enough, but I would love to see Jon pitch. Go Sox. I know you have to expect and accept slumps, but any loss is hard to take.
