Cali
http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/newswire.cgi?id=6904 Good News(for me): Arrested f***ing Development picked up. Bad News(for me): Jack & Bobby cancelled. I really liked that show, it had an interested idea, though I think I may have been one of the only people in the country to watch the damn show. I hope Christine Lahti gets an Emmy nomination in the wake of the death of the show. Edited May 16, 2005 by Cali

You know, I wanted to be able to get into Arrested Development, just because I've seen so many people talk about how much they like it, but I just don't enjoy it. Something about the pace of the show or something, I don't know what it is, but I'm just bored by it. Never saw Jack & Bobby. So yeah, you might be the only one who did... Ok...I had the same thought about Arrested Development until I watched the DVD of the first season. The pace of the show is off-beat but in line with the comedy...I really enjoyed the DVD and now am a huge fan of the show. and btw...what channel is Jack & Bobby on and wtf is it? juddling
I am sad to hear that ABC has decided to cut "Eyes" from their line-up for next year. I'm not a huge Tim Daly fan or anything but i thought he was perfect for the role and the show seemed to fit with Alias on Wednesday nights. oh well....I still have "Less than Perfect"

If you can't get into it (not you, Cali, but the others), just do what rd5 did and watch the first season DVD, absolutely one of the greatest things I own. bjm676
I may one of those rare TV buffs who never really "got" Arrested Development. But I'm glad it's back for all those who enjoy it. Personally, I'm glad "Scrubs" will be back. Now, if only NBC can stop moving it around the schedule. Scrubs and The Office back to back is the best night of comedies outside of Fox Sunday nites.
JDsDirtySox
This topic leads me to ask... What is everyone else into right now... other thanthe Sox. My favorites are: Lost CSI: Vegas The Shield The Office Scrubs Family Guy
southsider2k5
For me, my must watch shows, besides the Sox are very few. ER The Office Scrubs Law & Order and L&O SVU Fox Sunday nites...(Simpsons, Malcom, AD, Family Guy, King of the Hill etc)
Soxy
I don't actually have a tv.... But I usually go to someone's house to watch (either live or Tivo'ed) Arrested Development & CSI: Las Vegas and old episodes of this cartoon called Invader Zim. I've also seen The Office a few times and it was pretty funny. Edited May 16, 2005 by ChiSoxyGirl
SnB
There honestly isn't a show I will work my schedule around to watch anymore. The simpsons were, but now these new ones suck. I guess family guy is the closest thing to that now. I enjoy CSI, but c'mon, it's on just about every hour on some channel or another. SleepyWhiteSox
So how does the "pace" of Arrested Development differ from any another show? The sad part is that the first season may have been their peak because the 2nd wasn't as good...Hopefully the next comes back strong... Sometimes. But mostly out of pity. It's crying for a mercy cancelling. Am I the only person in the world who thinks Arrested Development is good, but not revolutionary? I like the show, I watch it sometimes, I laugh. But I don't understand why it inspires such a rabid fanbase. Because the fanbase is small, the product is great and a lot better than the other crap that attracts more viewers, and there always seems to be a threat of cancellation. You're a Sox fan and you don't understand that?

You're a Sox fan and you don't understand that? I just have a hard time getting excited by tv, I guess. Except for America's Funniest Home Videos, you'd best not be knocking fine television like that! I'm surprised the ratings are still low. That probably doesn't bode well, it seems like everyone knows about it.
Kalapse
Thank god Arrested Developement is comming back it is one of the best shows on TV and should never have been ended so abruptly to begin with. One show that I love is Scrubs. I've been watching it since the first episode and can't get enough of it. However I don't know how next season is going to work out with Elliot moving to a new Hospital. (Scrubs Season 1 comes out on DVD tomorrow f***ing awesome). I'm also glad to see that Fox is bringing back House, I think it's a great show and I was worried it would be cancelled, because it's Fox and they like cancelling the shows I love. For some people if they see a movie in the theater it is funnier than at home because others around them are laughing and it is an instinct for them to laugh.
