Jabroni
I hope so, but even I am beginning to have doubts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I already have my doubts. How many times does Dye take a first-pitch fastball right down the middle of the plate only to swing at a breaking ball in the dirt? I just can't believe some of the pitches he swings at. Instead of trying to drive a ball that's thrown right down the pipe he seems to always swing at low pitches that he can golf out of the park. Most of his homers have been golfed-out shots. I also think konerko should be criticised before dye is. Even though i am clearly not happy with dye's performance.

You could even be justified to rip on Dye more because he has also been a butcher in RF even though he's supposed to be good defensively. Either way, they're both sucking ass and aren't earning their respective salaries. Edited May 17, 2005 by Jabroni
qwerty
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 17, 2005 -> 02:54 AM) Both should be criticized. They are both holes in our lineup. You could even be justified to rip on Dye more because he has also been a butcher in RF even though he's supposed to be good defensively. Konerko is the highest paid player on the entire team. He is suppose to be the face of the franchise along with buehrle. I just you could still make a case for thomas but i would disagree. Konerko is also our most feared hitter ( until thomas comes back) in one of the most important parts of the line-up, the four whole. Sure he is tied for the team lead in rbi's but he has had plenty of opputunities to be in the mid to high 30's. .191 with men in scoring position? Is he enrique f***ing wilson? Konerko also takes the best pitch of every single at-bat then swings at the sliders and off speed s*** away. Dye on the other hand swings at some good pitches but he stikes out or pops it up/little fly ball. We also shouldn't have very high expectations for a guy that has hit righties so poorly in the last few years ( dye). Anyway, when it comes down to it, konerko is the bigger problem and more weight falls upon his shoulders than dye's.
Jabroni
It's pretty sad when we are discussing which player should be ridiculed more between Konerko or Dye.
