Guest wsc425
Editor, Your sports editor, Jason Riha, has not backed up his statements of “The truth behind misconceptions about Cub fans”. Unfortunatly, he has false ideas. I refer only because I am angered by his lame ideas and because I am the ultimate Sox fan. Referring to his statement about the Myth: Cub fans pay attention to everything but the game. Fact: Cub fans don’t listen. I see them in the outfield drinking their Budweiser beer. Budweiser is nasty itself, haven’t tried it, but survey shows Miller is better. On his response on Sox fans not going to the games, the Sox fans have a smaller market than the Cub fans do. Cubs have a huge market. The ballpark, the day games, that is what makes it better. The Sox fans have little fans from Chicago because of all of the fans who live in Suburban areas. Night games? Children have to sleep on school nights. Day games stink because people have work and school. It’s all about scheduling in the MLB. Myth: Cub fans only go to the games because of Wrigley. That is a true myth. His statement is contradicted because that is not true. False information. The Sox had a sellout against Minnesota, and three against the New York Yankees last year at home. Road attendence? They all have games within 100 miles, (Milwaukee, St. Louis, ect.) WGN? That is because the Sox were left by Harry Caray and Tom Picorek. Traitors. Moved on to the Dark side, shame on them. The Sox did not buy their way into WGN. That is a stupid statement, possibly the most stupid statement in this biased article. The Sox have FSN, FSN+, ESPN…and they OWN the WCIU station. Myth on Cub fans drinking: That is true. The writer of this article stated an incorrect fact. The fan who ran on the field was a Cub fan. As were last years idiots, who weren’t even fans. The Disco thing of the 79 season was a mistake. Bill Veeck made that and that is how it was supposed to happen…according to his plan. The Chad Krueter incident? That wasn’t in the bullpen, he was sitting in the dugout getting ready to bat. Myth on Cub fans as lovable losers: That is true. Sox are better. They have had a greater winning percentage since the last Century compared to the Cubs. They got Baker. So what? Jerry Manuel can easily match potential. Manuel doesn’t have tax problems. Manuel doesn’t let his son interfere with play in a WORLD SERIES GAME. If he was smart he would not have a little kid being bat boy. I can go on forever. To his last statement, that is what upset me the most. At least I got a life, and whoever reads this, I hope that you reassign this Cub fan to AAA Iowa for the Cubs. Ross Meister This is in response to a gay HS article written by an idiot.
