fathom
QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 21, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) Did you see how Carl charged the ball? He looked like a little leaguer. Keep in mind Nefi had gotten a little shaken up on the last play. For the life of me, I'll never understand why people think Everett should play in the outfield. He's without a doubt the worst outfielder in the majors. Congrats to Everett though for catching his first ball of the season.

fathom
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 21, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) Wow Uribe that was god awful. As much as I like Uribe, it's safe to say he's in one of his bad streaks right now.
DonkeyKongerko
There is no reason to ever come in on Crede. He can't hit anything outside.

Most of his solid hits this year came on inside fastballs that he kept his hands in. A pitch on the outside corner usually results in a weak pop up for Crede. whitesoxin'
Yeah he has been, but I'd still take him anyday over Carl out there. He would have had a better chance than Carl for sure. Just keep taking pitches Jose.

whitesoxin'
Suddenly the outside corner has gotten a lot bigger since they gave the warnings..

Zambrano is definitely taking advantage of a very large zone today. The AB by Konerko last inning was controlled by the large zone of the ump. Milkman delivers
QUOTE(fathom @ May 21, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) I'd just like to give a big "f*** you" to Ozzie for playing Everett today. Dye likely would not have thrown out Perez at home, but at least he would have had a shot. Everett is so awful at the plate right now. I don't understand the logic of benching a player who is swinging well for the first time all season for someone who is swinging worse than anyone else in the majors right now. And it'd be nice to get a hit today.

fathom
We're taking strikes, and swinging at balls. Seems like everyone but Willie is back to being way too easy of an out. It seems like all you have to do against Sox hitters is get two strikes on them, and if you throw an offspeed pitch, they'll strike out.
greasywheels121
QUOTE(fathom @ May 21, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) I would have rather had Pods leading off the next inning. It's sad though when Contreras works the count better than everyone but our 1-2 hitters. It's because he didn't swing, because, well he can't swing. Would you prefer nobody swing the rest of the game?
fathom
81 pitches for Zambrano. If we work him next inning, Dusty will have a tough decision to make.
CWSGuy406
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 21, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Zambrano no hitter through 5 He's locked in Gonna be a long f***ing day We're being no-hit, but we've still had five baserunners through five innings. I don't feel like we're being dominated, we just gotta break through one inning and string together two-three walks/hits.

santo=dorf
Guillen should have Willie drop a bunt next inning. He might get on base, and Zambo will be pissed off enough to throw at someone.
