Over $1.2 billion already found

U.S. Soldiers trying to stop looting in Baghdad ran into a huge cache of cash - more than $600 million in $100 dollar bills hidden behind a false wall.

The Los Angeles Times reported last week that the 3rd Infantry found $656 million in a Tigris River neighborhood where senior Baath party and Republican Guard officials lived.

I can hear apu already on this one................

A lot of people knew that Saddam had money. How was it that he was building the presidential palaces? The anti-sanctions movement knew that Saddam was using the Oil for Food cash to make himself rich...that's why they wanted the sanctions dropped so it would be easier for humanitarian organizations like Voices in the Wilderness to come in and give food away (Right now as it stands, if a person goes to Iraq and gives the hungry children food, they can be prosecuted and face a possible 12 year prison sentence.)
