The Bulls aren't bad and the Bears are going to be a lot better this year.

The Blackhawks have been bad for years; they don't deserve attention until Dollar Bill sells them.

Oh my god ...

As for kyyle and southsider - I know both of them from another forum, and I wouldn't trust either of them as far as I could throw them.  They add nothing to any forum. I think both of them are closet Cub fans.  J/K, guys.

For today only I will refer to him as Jay Maronatti. He has written an entertaining, informative, & solid article for a change. To the un-experienced reader it looks like he is exhaulting the White Sox. But to those who know better he is really echoing the frustration that he & all his brethren Cub fans are feeling.

If there is a weakness in it it lies in the failure to mention the Oakland A's series. Arguably the most dissapointing series the WSox have played this year. All total 1/2 doz WSox players were plunked & w little to no retailiation from the WSox. Would that series have played out in the WSox favor if Ozzie is screaming bloody murder after the first plunking by Zito?

I think so. Zito like Maddux is known for his control.

The truth is that series got away from the WSox because Oakland was not afraid to throw inside. Not just the inside corner of the plate but inside the batter's box as well. The WSox should have done the same & would have won it if they had done so. Likewise if you set that kind of tone early (mano-e-mano) then it's more likely Crede is awarded his base after being plunked.

I think Ozzie learned a lot in that series & I would be surprised if the WSox don't go (mano-e-mano) from here on out. If you throw inside on us, we'll throw inside on you. Let the pitches land where they may.

That's Sarah Beeson; proud member of our very own USA Women's Softball team.

She's a hottie, huh!

Looking forward though the Oakland series might have been the best thing to happen to this team. It was one of those defeats were you can claim victory & yet learn valuable lessons for the future.

If there was anything timid about this team it was eradicated after that series.

It's one the best playing teams around with the balls to go toe-to-toe.

Whether they win a WS or not, I am damn proud of this team & won't forget this season .. ever.

This is exactly what Mariotti's deal is...

He isn't trying to write about the facts.  He's trying to stir up s***, just to sell newspapers.  Even Cubs fans don't respect his worthless hide and if you lived in Chicago you would know that no one does.  If you can't see that, well, I'm sorry.

I lived in Chicago for 38 years, and am very familiar with Mariotti. Every column he writes sets off Sox fans. If it's negative, he's a moron, if it's positive, he's a band wagon jumper. If you can't see that anything, no matter what, he writes is criticized by some Sox fans, then I'm sorry.

Almost all the complaints sound the same. That mean boy on the playground Jay is saying mean stuff again.

Guess what? Not everyone thinks the Sox are the greatest franchise ever. Get over it. Perhaps 90 years without a WS and a playoff appearance once a decade isn't so great for a team in a major market.

Wow! Even Cub fans? I had no idea. Now I'll whine and moan like everyone else no matter what he writes.

:lolhitting at anyone that looks to Cub fans for justification. :lolhitting

Tomorrow's column is a big test.

If he completely reverses and turns it into an Oz Blast fest for handling

our young starter with kid cloves without any positive comments, he's proving

again he just goes day to day.

I predict the column will pretty much blast Oz for not letting the kid pitch longer, even though the reasoning was very solid. Let him have success in his first game. It Mariotti is smart he'll blame Viz more than Oz.

If I had to guess at it Id say he spends more time ripping the Flubbs than anything. Something along the lines of........"they were lucky to win one of three".
