Jabroni
Contreras owns a 3.23 ERA through 9 starts. He only has a 2-1 record but he has pretty much been snake-bitten in his starts since he hasn't gotten much run support. But he has yet to give up more than 4 ER in any start this season. If this guy ever starts consistently throwing in the strike zone and stops pitching around guys, he will be a stud in this league. rafacosta
Great game yesterday, he kept his team on game. Yes, he needs more run support.

Capn12
When Contreras learns to get the ball and throw it EVERY game then we'll have a solid pitcher in Jose....his control when working at a laymans pace worries me greatly, if AJ keeps him moving, we got yet another nice arm in our rotation, never have too many of those

aboz56
As long as he trusts his stuff, I've always believed Contreras would be one of the 20 best starters in baseball. So far, he is not yet to that point, but he has been outstanding. I expected continued improvement from him throughout the rest of the season. 3E8
He should throw exclusively to AJ only. He is a different pitcher when AJ is behind the plate.
whitesoxfan101
He's been a lot better than I expected already, and with him and AJ getting better and better together, I'm very excited to see what the count can do now throwing strikes and working quicker. Great work by him yesterday.
Chisoxmatt
When he gets his fastball over he is very good and it sets up his fork very well.
Be Good
The Count was the biggest concern for me at the beginning of the season, no more though.
Soxy
He's been amazing. A fact I love to tell to the Spankees fans. I'm thrilled to have him in our rotation....

Punch and Judy Garland
I've been impressed, I hadn't realized he had the best opp Ba in baseball before yesterday. We can live with him and he has showed that he is surprisingly not horrible in bigger games.
