Looks as if the Barons struggling at the plate with runners in scoring position is going to carry over from last night...

Bases loaded with no outs and score only once, with a bases juiced walk.

Fields stuck out swinging

Blakley struck out looking

Aceves pops out to SS

West Tenn 0

Barons 1

Only good news Diamondjaxx pitcher Hill threw 39 pitches in first inning.

Barons 5 West Tenn 3

W- Tracey (5-1) L- Hill (4-2)

Outstanding pitching by Sean Tracey didn't worry about the K's a great of PC managment ended up throwing 98 from my score book 7.1 IP 2R. Rogo continues to light it up a long homerun in the 3rd. Bases Loaded walk and a single up the middle and his 9th steal of the season. Barons really held strong against the Minor League Strike Out leader Rich Hill. Got into Hill's head with working the counts stealing bases. Hill Threw 94 pitches in just 4 innings of work. Antoin Gray smacked a homerun off Hill. Barons still struggle with runners at 3rd less than 1 out in the last 2 games the Barons 0-5 in these situations. B.J. LaMura continues his doctor Jekel and Mrs Hyde performance Striking out Casey McGee on a great fastball to strand the runners left by Tracey. Then can't find the Strike Zone with 2 outs giving up a 2 walks and a double on a 3-1 pitch. Pollok Threw some great sliders to end the game with a strike out of Matt Craig.

Thanks BHAM, Tracey is really pitching well so far. I saw him on TV during Spring training and he looked overmatch. If he continue to pitch well along with Malone, our pitching for the future does not look bleek at all.

I think the cubs top prospect Felix Pie also hit a HR in this game... that guy is going to be special.

Yes he will I got him to Autograph a Pic I had taken with him. All I can say is Cory Patterson look out

Ryan and Felix look like they are taking the same early route to the majors. Both are very close in age also, Ryan is 12 days younger than Felix. Should be fun for us and the Cubbies to watch them play for many years to come. Thanks again for the updates BHAM, they are great to read.

Our starting pitching depth in the minors is looking real, real good right now. B-Mac has joined the big club, Tracey is doing his thing in B-Ham, and Malone seems to be well on the way back. Tyler Lumsden is still to come back, Wes Whisler just got back from an injury, Ray Liotta has been great so far, and Gio was absolutely dominating early this season and we'll see him with the Warthogs real soon.

BHam, how has Sweeney looked?  I'm a little concerned that he's had something like 45 hits, and less than ten have been for x-tra base hits?  How does he look at the plate?

He is looking good at the plate hitting to all fields Razor told me they are on any close calls holding him to singles because of the Hammy while it is getting by the day Razor and co don't want to take any chances. Just on Saturday he had a couple of hits one a clear double that most likely should have been a 3 bagger and a hard single to left that is normally a double. I would say in the next couple weeks you will see Sweeney XBH total rise big time
