chisoxtime
I feel that if KW is going to make any moves at the deadline it should be to acquire additional pitching. In fact, I would accumulate as much pitching as possible for the stretch run and hopefully the playoffs. The best way to keep the twins from catching us is with pitching. In addition, we are not going to out hit the likes of the red sox, yankees, orioles, angels. Therefore, the best way to go after their hitting is with pitching. The stronger we keep our pitching the longer we will last.

JUGGERNAUT
I think KW will land a closer so that he can use Hermanson as the setup man. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/bypositi...fied=1&sort=106 I'm hoping it's Guardado as well. The ex-Twin factor speaks for itself. Look at AJ. The fact that the WSox have good relations with the M's on the trading front probably gives the WSox the edge over other teams. A bottom feeder team does not need a dominant closer. They have much greater needs. Guardado is a luxury for the M's.
DukeNukeEm
I'll wait to see which teams basically fall off the map 100%, the # of teams that do that should go up soon. Right now I'd like Hank Blalock or Eddie Guardado

chisoxtime
I would like to add a lefthander. Im not sure Cotts is playoff ready. A Guadardo type closer , make sure we have at least six starters. I like having six starters just in case u have to use one of them in relief.

JUGGERNAUT
There is 1 club/player option left on Guardado's contract. He's a FA after 2006.

Really there aren't that many holes in this team. First and foremost I'd like to see us acquire a lefty LOOGY who can actually get lefties out. A closer would be nice, but I don't want to sell the farm to get one. B-Mac today showed how important it is to develop young players. B-Mac today showed how important it is to develop young players. I don't want to mortgage the farm this year just because of the fact I don't think there is a glaring weakness on this team. We're going to be adding frank within the next few weeks which right there will be a bigger bat then any other team could add. I definitely wouldn't mind adding a bullpen arm but I think we have some good in house options there as well with Baj and maybe Jenks. If there is a chance to get Wagner, Kenny should explore that avenue but Bmac should be untouchable, period. I don't want to give up anderson for the fact that he's going to be starting full time next year and I just think so highly of sweeney that I want to hold on to him as well. The guy I'd be willing to center a package around that could net us something in a trade is Sean Tracey.

I'd be willing to deal Tracey before Gio Gonzalez but that's just me, I know Jason and Cerb are pretty high on Tracey, and he's having a very good year down at B-Ham. In any case, the top guys in our farm should be off - limits.

In any case, the top guys in our farm should be off - limits. I'm with you 100 percent. Gio's a special kind of talent, you don't see many high schoolers come in with his kind of control and that kind of curveball, not to mention he already has good velocity on his fastball where he could very well add more velocity. I like Tracey but I'm not as high on him as Jas or Cerb, though those 2 obviously know much more then me when it comes to our system. I would be willing to center a package around Tracey though if it meant acquiring a Wagner or a top tier player like that.

Chacon~ why¿?¿? Batista could happen but again why¿?¿? Gonzalez there is no chance in hell. Sisco no chance either. People need to understand that teams don't trade young, cheap, and talented players for no f***ing reason.
