Why don't you just shut up for a change.  Your act is not appreciated here at all.  Everytime you get on one of your rants, you have 35 different people telling you that you don't have a lick of common sense nor baseball knowledge, yet you continue to insist that you are right.  You are the most egotistical poster I have have seen around here and 99.99999% of the time you show just how ignorant you are.  Do us all a favor and just go away.

Yansy, this is a first from you I thought you were above this peons Calling me egotistical is just upsired. (sp) Can I help it if I am right 99.99999% of the time?

You wouldn't know "right" if it bit you in the ass.

Great you managed to capture everything, Why waste the money on him when we could have gone after Lowe...That was the whole point of that post.. OF course you fail to mange to tell the whole story.

I could have quoted at least 15 more, but meh couldn't be bothered. The point is, would you still have signed Lowe on a 4 year $36 million deal, instead of El Duque, which means we wouldn't have Dye or AJ and Iguchi?

Yes Lowe has been good for Los Angeles, but that's because he's pitching in the NL in a PITCHER's PARK. Put Hernandez in LA (and they were very interested in him) and their numbers would be pretty much identical.

So Russ Ortiz counts for .00000000000001%?

Clement .00000000000001%?

Leiter .00000000000000001%?

Cabrera 2,498,678%?

Tell us more about all your xbox trades Capt. Xbox, and please tell us more about all your scouting contacts.

Oh, and your GM contacts too ... you know, those who are laughing at the $4M salary the White Sox paid El Duque.

I think all those Rock Bottom beers and that headbanger music have taken their toll.

I would have taken neither...Wright had one good  year in Atlanta, and Herandez, is to injury prone..I still say we should have went after either Clement or Lowe.. Groundball pitchers something needed at the Cell.

You know, there can be multiple correct and wrong answers in life. For example. getting Clement or Lowe or Hernadez could all turn out to be pretty good moves.

I'm not sure what language you speak to prove you're right or wrong, but I'll try this simple comparison:

Name Salary Record ERA BB K IP IP/G

Derek Lowe $7,000,000 4-4 3.02 14 47 65.2 6.52

Matt Clement $6,500,000 5-0 3.34 22 47 64.2 6.42

El Duque $3,500,000 5-1 3.91 24 30 46.0 5.75

Hernandez is tied for wins with Clement and is a bit worse in each category that the other two. I believe Lowe also plays in a pitcher's park. However, he's making only about half as much. You can basically say that because we signed Hernandez rather than Lowe or Clement, we were able to have the cash to either get AJ or Iguchi. Thus, ask yourself Hernandez + AJ/Iguchi or Clement or Lowe.

See, this is wher you differ.. I say that owners.. would have to pull out their money to sign AJ.. DYE would have been Gullien(a younger better version of DYE) and Gooch.. see AJ..

Put Hernandez in there and he be exactly where he is now.. ON THE FA-KING DL..

Derek Lowe is 4-4 with a 3.02 ERA making $7 mil

Matt Clement is 5-0 with a 3.34 ERA making $6.5 mil

El Duque is 5-1 with a 3.91 ERA making $3.5 mil

Interesting, because he has comparable numbers and yet makes $3 mil less. I would say Kenny made a pretty good call on this one.

EDIT: Sorry Wedge, beat me to it.

Wedge, good post, but unfortunately you're attempting simple logic.

He can't even comprehend the difference between opinion and fact, let alone grasp logic.

Guillen = Clubhouse Cancer

We wouldn't have AJ in your scenario. Say hello to Ben Davis.

Harris would still be starting.

And How was Hernadez's start this past Sunday?
