I think the biggest problem everyone has with Crede is that he's supposed to be so much better than this.  He has the ability to be so much better than this.  He has the ability to hit .280 or better, and drive 30 home runs out of the park, but he just doesn't do it constantly.  We saw what Crede could do when he had his technique right in the first weeks of the season, and now he's back to his old ways and everyone feels angry and mistreated.

The guy should be so much better than this.  He really should.

.......and it's funny that it seems people's expectations of him keep falling and the same people still want him around. It went from oh he's gonna hit .290 and get 35 dingers, to well maybe. 280 and 30 dingers, what is it down to now? .250 in the eight spot and 20 Hrs.

this thread is a complete retread of four others.

I didn't mean to start a retread. I don't always have time to read through the 15 page threads.

That's why I don't start threads all that often. Whatever I have to say, probably has been said ten times over. :cheers

If we were going to trade with Cincy for a thirdbaseman, why not go after Ryan Freel. He is a utility guy who can run a little, and hits from the .270-.285 range. I'm not sure how much we would have to give up for him, but it couldn't be as much for Randa or Castilla.

Thats what he has become, an average hitter who hits for power who has a great glove and a great arm. He makes the tough plays easy and helps the others around him. If you guys havent been watching the last few games, our defense is crucial in our wins. Balls that snuck through in previous years are being eaten, balls that used to drop in front of our slow outfield are being caught, we need our defense to be rock solid. Say no to trading Joe.

I'm frustrated with Crede's bat too but I have no problem with his defense and I'm sure neither do the Sox pitchers....Let's wait till Frank comes back for Joe to come around....I truly believe the Big Hurt's presence in the lineup will have a good "ripple" effect on everyone....Maybe then, Joe will start heating up and if he doesn't, at least there's a solid glove at 3B....
