Buehrle>Wood
Fox vs. Collins always makes for interesting debate.
Antonio Osuna
All I know is that I'd have Herbert Perry on the bench in case we need a clutch pinch-hit.

thomsonmi
As for 2B, my heart says Nellie Fox but the numbers would seem to indicate Eddie Collins.
Cubs Suck23
It is a hard choice between Fox& Collins.
thomsonmi
It may be unpopular but I'd have to take Maggs over Harold Baines and certainly over Lance Johnson. My outfield would be Shoeless, Minnie and Maggs.
SoxFan1
QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 26, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) Great list other than the Lance Johnson thing. I assume you were reaching for a leadoff hitter there? It was between Baines, Raines, and Johnson. Baines was a DH more often than OF so I threw him out. Between Raines and Johnson, and for some reason I chose Johnson. Kinda stretching for a lead-off hitter and I liked his ability to take extra bases....making singles into doubles and making doubles into triples. But now, looking at the stats, I'm changing it to Raines.
thomsonmi
And, it shows what a pathetic lot of outfielders we've had over the years in the outfield but Carlos Lee isn't very far down the list of best White Sox outfielders ever.

The Critic
QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ May 26, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) I would have Larussa as the Mgr Can't go wrong with Tony, but Chuck's my all-time favorite Sox manager ( first one I remember from growing up ) so I went with him. I pity the kids who had Terry Bevington as their first Sox manager...
