I'm certainly not going to read all 8 pages, but damn this sucks for the cubs. I hate to see anyone get hurt, especially when pitchers injure their pitching arms. Best of luck to him in his recovery.

8 pages? Looks like 16 to me.

My settings are different, I view 30 posts on each page. Sorry about that. It's as long as most game threads. WTF, was it that bad of an injury?

No, just a slow Friday afternoon at work for too many of us. There's a lot of unrelated stuff in those 16 pages.

At least Jabroni doesn't post a bunch of 1 or 2 words in every post. I see that on a lot of other message boards and that's all they post. I have a lot of short posts too, but I guess I pick and choose what I want to reply to.

Huh?

I see that a lot on here. Just meaningless little posts from people that reiterate exactly what everyone else is saying. This does not apply to Jabroni or Qwerty.

Yeah, a lot of people on message boards think it's a competition to have the most posts in a day or whatever. Maybe some think they'll gain respect with the more posts they have, I don't know what it is. I think respect would come from what you say in your posts and not how many of them you have.

Mark Prior - S - CHC

ESPN is reporting that an MRI found a slight fracture in Mark Prior's elbow.

This will put the right-hander on the DL. For how long is anyone's guess at this point, but since he'll have to be shut down for at least a few weeks, it's unlikely he'll be back before the All-Star break. Jon Leicester could be called up to replace him in the rotation. May. 27 - 9:58 pm et

Rick Sutcliffe of ESPN said that he thinks Prior will miss the rest of the season if the injury is as bad as ESPN is reporting.

Best-case scenario: only missing the rest of this season.

Worst-case scenario: could be a career-threatening injury.

It's a broken elbow right? If thats the case, I can't see him coming back anytime soon.

The ESPN story.

As someone pointed out, it does help the Sox, but I can't say I'm very happy about it, given the way it happened.

Is ptatc around?  Does anyone know what this could mean -- minimum/maximum recovery time, something like that?

Im sorry, I missed it. how does this help the sox?
