For some reason I doubt that its a "slight" fracture. Cause after watching that, if his elbows fractured at all, its fractured big time. Either way though, it ain't good.

I hate the Flubbs as much or more than anybody here but I never want to see anyone get seriously hurt under any circumstance. I really REALLY hope Prior is ok and back out there soon, although from just seeing the video once and not having heard anything else it looks like he's gonna be down a while.

It may be just that time to get our Cubs injury translator out.

Let's look at the possble outcomes:

Bruised Elbow, may miss a start = Tommy John Surgery, out a year and a half

Muscle Tighness, may miss a start = Torn Rotator Cuff, Career in doubt

Inflamation, will miss 2 or 3 starts = Reconstructive sugery, out for the year

Broken arm, out 2-3 months = Death

RIP Mark Prior then? :huh

Speaking of freak pitching injuries, and I didn't see a thread title about this though it might be hidden in another thread somewhere ... so don't crucify me if it is ..... Rick Helling, while pitching in Nashville had his left (non-pitching) arm IMPALED by the shard from a broken bat. All the I have heard about the severity of the injury is that it was not life threatening.
