thomsonmi
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 27, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Wow, this Rockies pitching is friggin' tee-ball. Which is why we should call up Brian Anderson for June 6,7, and 8.
fathom
I don't recall the Cubs fans exactly feeling sorry for us when the rumor about Buehrle's foot injury started in spring training.

AddisonStSox
You elitests are cracking me up. "We are Sox fans. They are Cubs. Sox no like Cubs. Who Cares." One of the better, young, injury-ridden pitchers went down to one of the hardest come-backers I have ever seen. Get over yourselves.
Punch and Judy Garland
I've been afraid of that Colorado series for us for a few weeks now. That's the type of place that gets in your head and can screw you up for awhile. As far as their bad record, I really believe that pitchers get messed up there and do worse on the road. Think about it, when you have to change your mechanics and your mentality so much-you can't just flip the switch on the road. That's why guys like Mike Hampton were even worse on the road. Just a hellhole to pitch in and away from until you are gone for good.
Punch and Judy Garland
BTW, I'd like to add that there is no known solution for Coors Field but they need to start by moving the fences back in

Punch and Judy Garland
Part of the reason that there are 7 pages is that we all get this game, the radio stations that talk about it, and there is nothing else on tv on a Friday afternoon! qwerty
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) There have been 7 pages worth of posts in the last hour. If it was Barry Bonds, or Ichiro , or Pedro I promise there would not be 7 pages worth. This is true. But i am not ashamed to say if it was bonds i would be happy as all hell. fathom
Another thing that won't make me shed a tear about a possible season-ending injury for Prior is that we still have another series against the Cubs. I know a lot of people would rather face their best.....but I would be just as happy if we beat an A ball pitcher (might be tougher for us it seems). Judging by how much it swelled up, they'd have a very tough time diagnosing anything but a fracture right now.
