I've been afraid of that Colorado series for us for a few weeks now. That's the type of place that gets in your head and can screw you up for awhile. As far as their bad record, I really believe that pitchers get messed up there and do worse on the road. Think about it, when you have to change your mechanics and your mentality so much-you can't just flip the switch on the road. That's why guys like Mike Hampton were even worse on the road. Just a hellhole to pitch in and away from until you are gone for good.

You elitests are cracking me up.

"We are Sox fans.  They are Cubs.  Sox no like Cubs.  Who Cares."

One of the better, young, injury-ridden pitchers went down to one of the hardest come-backers I have ever seen.

Get over yourselves.

I personally take no satisfaction or greef over this. He'll still have his money, and I'll sleep the same tonight.

Pat Hughes on WGN 720 is saying that they are going to wait until after the game to make the announcement on Prior.

STOP REPORTING ON THE INJURY.

YOU ARE A SOX FAN REMEMBER?

WATCHING A MARK PRIOR-PITCHED GAME MAKES YOU LESS OF A SOX FAN.

...dips***. :P :bang

That doesn't sound too promising then. If he was ok, they would announce it right away.

There have been 7 pages worth of posts in the last hour. If it was Barry Bonds, or Ichiro , or Pedro I promise there would not be 7 pages worth.

This is true. But i am not ashamed to say if it was bonds i would be happy as all hell. :)

Part of the reason that there are 7 pages is that we all get this game, the radio stations that talk about it, and there is nothing else on tv on a Friday afternoon!

And don't forget, this is the Messiah we're talking about. If it was Dempster or Rusch, we would not be talking about it so much.

DING. DING. DING.

Hot dog, we have a weiner!

This isn't quantum physics; yet, some love the labeling game.

Another thing that won't make me shed a tear about a possible season-ending injury for Prior is that we still have another series against the Cubs. I know a lot of people would rather face their best.....but I would be just as happy if we beat an A ball pitcher (might be tougher for us it seems).
