drowninginflame
They said people should go and greet the team at the airport sunday night. I don't think it's a bad idea considering no one is really working on monday........ if not this weekend then maybe more towards the october stretch..... AddisonStSox
I'll bring the Dr. Pepper. BTW, why would we greet a team at the airport in May? Last time I checked, we have four more months of baseball. Sorry, but this team hasn't won a damn thing.

whitesoxin'
Instead of greeting them at the airport, just go to the games more. It's much better for the team IMO.
fathom
No offense, but this is a stupid idea. What is this, college basketball? Right now, we just have to act like we've been there before. We still have 3 very tough games at Texas.

That's what I'm doing, can't wait. The game better be f***ing sold out. 2 first place teams, holiday, afternoon game. I'll be shocked if the game isn't sold out. After a 10 game roadtrip, people better be wanting to get out to the park.

Balta1701
Remember back in 2000 where the team went on the road to Cleveland and New York and swept both series? That team deserved a greeting at the airport (and the full stadium awaiting them when they got back home). This team wins that division...they'll deserve a greeting at the airport. This team heads to Boston and New York in August and sweeps both, they'll deserve a greeting at the airport. (and a packed house for Minnesota). This hasn't exactly been an amazing road trip thus far. Personally...I'd prefer a rally in Grant Park. In Late October.

drowninginflame
next games I am going to: Diamondback Dodgers Cubs If monday is a cheap night, I'll go. I'm broke, I've got all my other games paid for, I've got tickets to 10 more games and tickets to see them in Baltimore.

Their performance lately on a 10 game road trip is 4-4. I will take .500 ball out of the guys on a roadtrip anytime. No need to worry about that, the bats should wake up soon, I only worry about the Twinkies, as of today only 4 games back of the best team in baseball, I wish they would falter a bit. LosMediasBlancas
Why don't we prematurely begin celebrating by hanginging out on 35th street all day and all night with jugglers, clowns and magicians, like that other team's fan base in town did in '03?
