No derogatory nicknames.

No eating s***.

Just Good Baseball. Solid F'n Pitching. D-Fence. Timely Hitting.

Sounds good to me. Hopefully, this is done by the :gosox2:

Time to get the swagger back. Even if we win only 1 out of the next 2 games, we've gone .500 on this road trip, which anyone would have definitely taken at the start of the season against the Cubs, Angels and Rangers.

GAME: Chicago White Sox (33-16) at Texas Rangers (28-20).

TIME: Saturday, 4:05 p.m. EDT.

The Texas Rangers look to ride their starting pitching to an eighth straight win when they continue a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.

Texas has used outstanding starting pitching to post its longest winning streak of the season. Rangers starters are 7-0 with a 2.02 ERA during the streak after Chris Young led the way to a 6-2 victory to open the series Friday.

Young was the latest Texas starter to sparkle by allowing one run and six hits in eight innings for his third straight win. The 6-foot-10 right-hander did not walk a batter, throwing 71 of 102 pitches for strikes.

Alfonso Soriano homered twice and Mark Teixeira and Michael Young also connected for Texas, which has 21 homers during its run. Soriano and Teixeira have homered in each of the last two games.

The Rangers are trying to win eight straight for the first time since Aug. 13-21, 2004.

Chan Ho Park tries for a fourth straight win for Texas when he takes the mound. Park is 3-0 with a 4.25 ERA over his last six starts.

The veteran right-hander yielded six hits in seven innings in a 2-0 win over Houston on Sunday. Park has issued only three walks over his last three starts after walking 15 batters over the previous three outings.

Chicago is hoping that Jon Garland bounces back after his 10-game winning streak, dating to last season, was snapped in a 4-0 loss at Los Angeles on Monday. The 25-year-old right-hander surrendered three runs and a season-high 11 hits in his first loss since Sept. 16, 2004 at Minnesota.

"I'll go out there and do that every game, whether I lost them all or won them all," Garland said. "There's going to be days like that. Guys are going to be shut down at the plate. Guys are going to throw the ball well. It's a game, it's going to happen."

Garland is 4-1 with a 3.19 ERA over his last five starts. He is 2-5 with a 4.27 ERA in nine career starts against the Angels.

Chicago lost for the fourth time in six games on Friday to fall to 4-4 on a 10-game road trip. The White Sox have scored a total of 13 runs over the last six games.

Second baseman Tadahito Iguchi received a day off on Friday, allowing Chicago to put slumping shortstop Juan Uribe in the No. 2 spot in the batting order. Uribe went 0-for-4 and is mired in a 1-for-24 skid on the road trip.

"When you get in a slump like that, you want to get four hits in one at-bat," manager Ozzie Guillen said. "That's why I put him hitting second. Now, he has to move a guy over, take pitches, hit the ball behind the runner."

WHITE SOX PROBABLE STARTER: Garland (8-1, 2.57 ERA). Garland is 1-4 with a 4.86 ERA in six career starts at Angels Stadium.

C'mon Jon G. We need you big guy. Our offense is terrible so we need an awesome outting out of ya!! The Twins keep on winning and our offense keeps on struggling, this is a big game for the team. If Jon G holds them to 3 runs and the bulpen comes in and does its job, we should win this. SOMEBODY-ANYBODY on the offense needs to WAKE UP!
