Dumb fucking Cub prospect

I believe this was on purpose. Kind of hard to miss home so badly that you nail a bird on it's perch.

As for ben Christensen, he is a Cub prospect who nailed a guy on the on-deck circle a few years back. SUpposedly the on-deck batter was eyeing Christensen's pitches, and his coach told Ben to throw at the kid in the circle. Christensen one-upped his coach and beaned the poor kid in the f***ing eyeball. The kid who got nailed was gaining interest from the Diamondbacks, but his career is over now. I believe he is mostly blind in the eye that was struck.

Christiansen hit a guy on the on-deck circle? How, when?

Oh, that was a big debate a couple years ago. Christiansen picked up a baseball during warmups and just chucked it at some guy who didnt provoke him at all (even then such a thing is unacceptable). Im not sure where Christiansen is now but the guy he hit was hurt pretty bad if I recall and hes out of baseball I think...

Eyeing a pitchers pitches is a strategy for hitters. Its just a quick check to see what hes throwing! Jesus, does everyone whos just trying to see what hes up against deserve to get hit in the head? I hope Christiansen is out of baseball permanently...

Christensen had arm injuries and he's most likely done.

Ryu was a pick time free agent signing of the Cubs a few years back and was thought of as the best Korean Pitcher ever for his age. He had and still has a very high ceiling.

He was aiming at the bird though and he'll get fined and may get some jail time.

Hah, what a dumbf***! Did he do it on purpose or did he throw a pitch and hit it on accident? Christiansen hit a guy on the on-deck circle? How, when? Answer my questions please.

Christensen hit the guy on purpose, partially blinded him, and ended his career.

Now he has serious shoulder problems...

Sometimes karma's a b****.

Here's a lesson for you, kids - always read the linked article BEFORE reading the following posts. I thought that Beanball Ben was the one who threw at the bird!

I really hope Christensen never throws another pitch ever again. I also hope he somehow loses EVERY CENT he made in baseball, so that he and Molina ( the guy he hit ) can get back to even.

You should have the seen the picture of the guy after he was hit. I believe in hard aggressive baseball but something like that is lower than low. Anybody know how this "prospect' Christensen is doing these days?

Nothing but injuries..... First shoulder, then elbow, I believe. Could be backwards...

I know the guy Christensen hit tryed out with the Schaumburg Flyers a year or two ago but I think he had too many problems with his eyes to have any chance of continuing on...its sad

molina didnt make the flyers because he was very skiddish in the batters box.......he did well in the fielding part of the tryouts.. (i was there to watch)......its a shame too because before the asshole chirstensen hit him he was doing awesome.................i believe that kittle did offer him some type of office position with the club but he turned it down........he wants to play ball and he is supposedly going to keep trying out untill he gets on the squad..........at least thats what i heard.........he did also sue christensen in a civil action..... it was settled out of court......dont think he got much though for his troubles..............i hope the next thing christensen touches is a big guy named bubba in jail......thats where he should have been after hitting molina.............

what christensen did deserved a banning for life from baseball..the fact that scrubs drafted him after this incident happened speaks volumes...if the sox drafted this guy id have been seriously pissed..there is a huge difference using a baseball as a weapon against a human then against a bird

the catcher had a tryout last year with the schaumburg flyers...ron kittle said he had some positives but needed to work on certian parts of his game..he was encouraged to put the work in and comeback this year for another try out...i dont think this kid was a serious prospect..probably a late rounder..double digits..but then again mike piazza was picked i nthe 57th round only because he was a relative or family friend to tommy lasorda so you never know...
