fathom
QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) 2 pitches, 2 called strikes on Dye. He'll swing at a bad pitch in the dirt likely. Maybe not! Good swing by Dye there.

KevHead0881
You guys notice that the players that have been kinda s***ty for us this year (Dye, Crede, Konerko & Uribe at times) are always down 0-1 and/or 0-2 in the count?

Milkman delivers
QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) What sucks with PK now is that he's gone from being a very tough out/professional hitter to being a dead-pull hitter who will get himself out just as much as the pitcher will. PK wants more money, that's all there is to it. Guys who hit homeruns get big contracts. He knows it. We know it. To me, he's looking like Maggs II. Widger just misses one. Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ May 30, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) You guys notice that the players that have been kinda s***ty for us this year (Dye, Crede, Konerko & Uribe at times) are always down 0-1 and/or 0-2 in the count? Whether the Bremuda Triangle takes their pitches or swing, they usually guess wrong. Swing first pitch, it's half a foot of the plate. Take first pitch, it's right down the middle. Both result in 0-1 counts. Edited May 30, 2005 by Flash Tizzle
fathom
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 30, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) PK wants more money, that's all there is to it. Guys who hit homeruns get big contracts. He knows it. We know it. To me, he's looking like Maggs II. It's become obvious to me that we shouldn't resign PK after this season. Don't forget, his speed/health isn't going to get any better as he gets old. Let a team like the Mets give him 3 yr, 30 million. We can find a better defensive 1b who fits our style a little better (I don't necessarily like smallball, but if you're going to base your team on that style, you can't have a guy who can't run a lick clogging up the middle).
