What is this about a slump?  Crede has consistently been this bad since he's been a starter.  There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to get him to not suck.  He will never even be an average hitting major leaguer.  He is pure garbage.

Milkman....you know guys like myself and Jabroni agree with you. But even for Crede, this is a massive slump.

I guess this is the wrong place to defend Joe Crede, all of you just want his blood.  btw, he has 1 sacrifice hit (bunt) this year, 7 total in his career.

Garcia, as a pitcher, is expected to bunt with runners on, I'm sure he was practicing his bunts before he pitched.  and yes, Crede should learn to bunt, help us out in other ways than defense.

More excuses for Cruddy's suckiness. If he can't even hit, he damn well better learn how to lay down a f***ing sac bunt. Otherwise, he is worthless other than his defense.

Now that's funny!!!!  Seriously...the argument aside from throwing Fields into the fire too quick...could he possibly be any worse than Crede?  I just can't take seeing this dude in the lineup anymore.  Like somebody said earlier....ENOUGH!

I'm with ya. Thing is, I think the only reason that we continue to deal with Crede is that he's solid in the field. And with fielding being such a high priority on this team, I think that unless we can find a good hitting 3rd baseman that fields nearly as good as Crede, we'll be stuck with Crede.

Joe Randa comes to mind, but the argument for him has already been beaten to death. So, I'll just leave that one alone.

Fields strikes out a bunch and he makes a lot of errors.

like Borchard and Drew Henson and Chris Weinke and Josh Booty and Quincy Carter, he's a football player who lost valuable developmental time in college playing spring football.

I'm more excited about Schnurstein at A ball.

he's having a decent season and doesn't K nearly as much.

I'm sorry, I'm just so frustrated that he sucks this badly. The fact that some people are so blindly defending him is only making the situation worse.

like I said, he's got to learn to lay down the bunt. but when you haven't in weeks/months, it's hard to lay down a good bunt when the pitcher has a lot of movement on his pitches.

No kidding. However, we're all Sox fans here, and different fans like different players more than others.

I believe in Joe and still think he can put up mvp caliber numbers

And the White Sox are so excited about his future at 3B that he's been playing a ton of 2B lately. FYI only, not trying to be a smart ass.

Now this is getting ridiculous. Garcia probably had never tried to lay down a bunt in a game, yet he had no problem doing it on the first pitch. Who do you think practices bunting more.....Crede or Garcia?

s***...Greg Norton is listed on the Knights roster. I'd take his bat in the lineup over Crede's for Christ sakes....somebody....ANYBODY!

I guess you're referring to me. which I'm not, but like I've said three times now, you even need to practice bunts. I bet a bunt from Frank Thomas would look the same way, because when was the last time he bunted (his would probably be a lot worse).

There is no excuse for Crede not getting down the bunt successfully. He was supposed to properly execute, and he didn't.

It's that simple.

Fields has 10 errors in 47 games. Also 58 Ks in 174 at bats. That's Borchard like.

As for Schnurstein, 12 errors in 47 games. He has 36 Ks in 173 at bats.

Looks like neither guy is the answer defensively for sure. And there are plenty of questions offensively.

Can Carl Everett play 3b?

Garcia, I'm sure he did right before the game.

Now, you're comparing Crede to someone who hasn't played in a MLB game in almost a year? Not only that, Crede is the number 9 hitter, not the all-time franchise home run leader. Crede definitely has been asked to bunt before, and I think he's done a pretty solid job in the past.
