If you've watched a Mets game this year, you know the answer is... not really. I don't know if Matsui is really as bad as he is, or if his situation isn't right for him. Not everyone can handle playing in New York... I think the pressure there for big contract players is a lot higher than anywhere else. I don't think that Matsui works in New York - but might in another market. We've seen this before where players come to the Yanks or Mets and can't hack it, but come down to another market and play pretty well.... When I heard all the trade yells on WFAN last night, I thought the same thing... Matsui might play better with the Sox because I think the culture of the team might be better and more relaxed there.
