LowerCaseRepublican
Seems the network brass objected to their playing "The Hand That Feeds" with a background that would just be a picture of George W. Bush. So, NIN refused to perform. From their site: "We were set to perform 'The Hand That Feeds' with an unmolested, straightforward image of George W. Bush as the backdrop. Apparently, the image of our president is as offensive to MTV as it is to me." Can somebody explain to me how that would be objectionable? It is just a photo of Bush. This is almost as bad as when Rage Against the Machine got thrown out of SNL: http://www.musicfanclubs.org/rage/snl.htm

Capn12
Dave Grohl is a fantastic musical mind, don't think many can argue that. The man can just flat play, drums, guitar...whatever....I've been a huge Grohl and Foo fan for a long, long time.. 2 weeks until "In Your Honor" drops....2 discs, 1 acoustic, 1 reg......sounds nice

My guilty little secret is that I've always liked Foo better than I liked Nirvana.

Capn12
QUOTE(winodj @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 08:27 AM) Cause they're a better band? IMO, no question. Every release Foo has put out has been consistently better than the last, and thats not saying that the first CD was crap at all. Hell it is in my car right now. Just that Dave and the boys are getting even better as they go, and they were solid to start with.
