Ok I win. And no you didn't say less than you said 300. You said he went 0-4 and that dropped his average. Sorry, I will need to bring a tape recorder next time. The sat ticekts are up for grabs.

If you bring that tape recorder believe me it will be in my hands recording you just as much as vice versa. What are we going to talk about next, which way the wind was blowing?

Let me contact the guy and see if I can peddle the tix. I will get back to you by 11 a.m. this morning, please do not move them until then, thx. BTW what is the face plus parking, all this damned different pricing is confusing.

Actually no I was blaming ozzie, if you viewed the whole thread. but if neil did go to him and say he couldn't pitch I would blame him. But my reference was that Ozzie cost them the game. i know you like the players, I am aware of that, and your very good at taking snipets and creating your own thoughts. I think I have been very consistant in this thread that Ozzie cost them the game. My point is, if they are oveer used, suck it up and play. I really don't care if paul is tired, and I don't care if Neil pitched 1 inning the other day. Suck it up. (meant toward Ozzie)

Then maybe you shouldn't say the following...

2) The herald is one newspaper, but that being said I heard OZzie state on the post game show that he thought marte and Cotts were overused the last 5 days. that was his reason. Not good enough for me. You have a day off, so suck up one more damn inning neil. That is my point on that.

3) I would have never used Walker in that situation. Yes I would have called on others despite the matchup of righty lefty. I called it before walker threw his forst pitch. I stand by it. You disagree, I am ok with that.

4) Tell konerko to suck it up one more day. You have an off day today. I really don't care if Ozzie wants to rest him two days. It can't be done right now because you do not have a back up foirst baseman. Wait until gload gets back then sit Konerko down for two days. SUCK IT UP.

My liking players doesn't have s*** to do with calling out your misplaced blame..

Talk about taking snipits and creating your own bulls*** thoughts.

Silly theoretical question here... why couldn't Crede have played first base last night with Ozuna going in at 3B, or taking SS and sending Uribe to 3B.

I haven't played much 3B in my time, but it seems like 1B would be the closest to 3B IMO.  Also it seems a lot of 3Bs end up at 1B.

Not to interupt Jim and Quicks  fest, but any thoughts on this? how similar are first and third, and could Crede have been a better option?

Steff, your doing what you always do. The princess speaks, take a look at the whole thread. And you know Now that I think of it. If the players did say they couldn't play then I blame them too. Hey steff you know all the ballplayers, what did they tell you last night? Give them a call today and let us all know.

The only ways I can think that they are similar is that they are both corner infield positions and that they would have to deal with the really hard hits down the line. Otherwise, i don't know how they are similar.

by the way forwarning I need to leave the thread, got to get to work, but I stand by ozzie making a huge mistake. And steff if you took it another way, then so be be it. you like to pick fights and you like to be right. Must be that softer woman side of you.

I guess I could b**** and moan back and forth and help turn yet another thread into an "all about quickman thinks".. but you do a good job of that all on your own.

ok, then you don't have to start that thread. Ok with me. I really don't care if people think i am right, I really don't, I am just expressing my opinion. that's it. Jim disagrees with me all the time. Doesn't mean he is right and doesn't mean he is wrong, just we don't see eye to eye. Ok with me. And no I do not think I dominate any thread.

Jim, next time I will have to buy you a beer and at least fuel some arguments for a couple of innings.

Its not hard with those two... usually I just say "hey how about those White Sox" and it is all downhill from there. :P

I'm reading the damn thread Terry... and I see where you laid the blame on Ozzie.. I also see where you told Neal and Paul to "suck it up"... specifically YOU said "Neal.. suck it up..", "Paul.. suck it up.." (sic). I'm not going to lay off the fact that the MANAGER maked the decisions to sit guys, barring injury, and I refuse to blame them when he does so. That's MY point and I think it's BULLs*** when someone states something differently.

I can see how you got that impression

Fine, I'll answer your question... :P

Crede, like any third baseman could easily make a transition to first base. The angle is similar and he would have been fine (as long as he didnt have to tag anyone out, we all know how horrible he is at that).

That being the case, he still probably isnt the best option. Simply because he is our best defensive third baseman. By putting Crede at first your most likely putting Ozuna in at 3rd. Two players playing out of position in the infield could theoretically be worse than just one. Ozuna, has to make a longer throw from 3rd base and Crede has to catch the throw from Ozuna. So two wrongs in this case do not make a right...

The obvious choice at least for me was Widger. I know he didnt do that because he doesnt want both his catchers on the field at once but if AJ was to get hurt you simply move Widge over to 1B. You need quick hands and an ability to judge low throws at 1b. Any infielder can play first but usually only bigger guys play first so the infielders have a bigger target to throw to. IMO, Timo Perez was probably the 5th best option on this team to play first base.

You are right :D

We do not take it personally, it's part of what makes baseball fun I suppose. Bickering about strategy has probably gone on since Abner Doubleday.

So let me provide some context for you. I blame this on ozzie, yesterday and today. If though, the players said they want a rest, than I say to them suck it up. I don't care if Neal's penis is falling off due to all the babes he had last night. I hope this provides better context. I hope that straightens everythign out for you. I BLAME OZZIE unless the primadonnas forced him into this situation.

If Konerko isn't hurt, and your only option is to play Timo at 1B, and you have an off day the next day.......Why does Konerko need to be rested? Its baseball, not too grueling of a sport. If it had been 90 degrees with 85% humidity the last couple of weeks maybe, but that and inserting Walker were two of the dopiest moves I have ever seen made. I bet you Konerko feels the same this morning whether he played last night or not.

Apparently there are some comprehension issues for you today..

I don't need you to clear anything up.. I understand exactly what you were expressing, albeit IMO miserably doing so.

My issue is you SPECIFICALLY calling out players, intended or not.

I don't like it, that's my opinion, I stated it, and that's that.
